Chilly is an extremely insightful coach with a degree in psychology. In addition, he's responsible for the Eagles/McNabb's rise from obscurity.
His latest stroke of genius brought Farve to the Vikes and put Harvin back on kickoff returns. Not to mention Greenway, Allen, Peterson, ect.
Some bozo.....right.

What a stupid headline and lead from the Pioneer Press. There is zero chance the Vikings will be blacked out locally this year. There is zero chance they will have to get an extension from the league office in order to sell all the tickets.

Why is it an outlandish headline? Last year they almost didn't sell out a playoff game.

Brad Childress; Mike Tice; Denny Green:
All things considered: drafting, steady improvement, free-agents brought in, you have to give Childress the nod. Think about it: The Vikes are missing their best defensive player and leader and have gone against some pass happy teams the past three weeks. The secondary did not play great vs Pittsburgh and Green Bay, but they did not hurt them either. Coaching...game planning, scheme, and execution are the reasons, and the coaches deserve credit for this.

Negativity? How about reality. Klink and Bevell have had AP for almost 3 full years now and cannot come up with something more creative than handing him the ball 5 yards deep and running him up the middle. That alone proves how ignorant they are. Don't tell me he cannot catch the ball either. He should be used like Roger Craig was at SF. Klink's a moron. And also check out Klink's record as Offensive Coordinator with Philly in the NFC Championship games 2002-2005. PATHETIC! He's a LOSER!

Are you serious? Do you even follow the Vikings?

Peterson is Rookie of the year. The most yards in one game by a RB EVER. Most yards by a Viking RB EVER. Won the rushing title last year. Pro-Bowl all three of his years. Pro Bowl MVP. In the running of MVP of the entire league for three years. All that while being keyed on ever game.

How can a coach improve on what is arguably the best player in the NFL and potentially one fo the best backs of all time? How high of unattainable standards do you have?

Is it hard being that stipid or does it come easy for you?

I'm not a Childress fan. But, he deserves credit for some of The Vikings' success too. The team obviously responds to him. Half of the time, I can't understand a damn thing he's saying.- But the players can.$h!t, he talks like he's tranced out into alpha.- Let me ask my fellow posters this: Since McMuffin over in GB became a HC, what has HE proven? Without Favre, he sucks. Where's all the calls for his removal? In fact, The Three Stooges over in GB totally trashed that entire team. The Bald Eagle at least can claim a record that's been improved EVERY SEASON since he came. In fact, his first season was as good as GB had just last season! So yeah, maybe Klink isn't the most likable guy to all of the fans, but The Vikings are at least winners. He should at least get credit for that. I don't even like him, but I give him the dues he's earned.

Last year we barely beat the Bears for the division title. This year we kicked five different kinds of dog c r a p out of the Packers. We are 7 - 1 with Farve as the qb. I stand by my statement that we will not have any difficulty selling out the rest of the home games with no leage extensions necessary.

That's funny 'cause I always thought King had a deep and longing man-love for all things Eagles or just about any team east of the Mississippi.

What this country needs is a third party a Independent party to shake up the government. We need more people to get off their couches in each state and start a third party so I can vote again. I haven't voted since Ross Perot was running.

Jesse Ventura was right when your voting the lesser of two evils each time you vote. It is time to take this country back with smaller government and less taxes so someone with a great idea can use it to make money. Instead of the Govt taxing and making it impossible to use these idea because of taxes so the Government can do their corrupt ways.

it doesn't matter what fans think about Childress
....what counts is what his players think of him..
it is a fact that this guy is respected and has
a bunch of guys playing their hearts out for this
coach and Vikings fans....his team supports him
and so does owner...nice job by Childress this
year and he deserves a lot of credit not put downs......this 2009 team and Childress are
winners no matter how you look at it......

Is that all you got? A T-Jack slam? Really? How....original. Do you read much of what's going on, like, today? This year?
Maybe reach back a little further and tell us how Tice brought in Williamson. How NO player is left from the 2005 draft, the one before Childress. Or maybe bring up how Green made such a lousy move with Dimetrius Underwood. Or further back and the Walker trade. Or further back and.......
C'mon man.....get current.
People who hate Childress for hate sake show their baffoonery every time they write something here.
Come on you doorknobs........show us all how smart you are.
Tice brought in kevin and pat williams, winfield. without them are defense would not be #1 against the run. You can't give klink credit for that one. He cleaned up the love boaters, but kept mckinney if you rid trash you get rid of all of it,no exceptions! His play calling is suspect,Reid did not allow him to call plays! On the draft of tjoke, who graded out a practice squad player,he moved up to get him. The man is a liar, and should be fired not rewarded!

"T-Joke graded out a practice squad player"? Says who? I'm not saying he's good. Just don't make stuff up to prove your point. Then everything else you say is suspect.

True Tice got Kevin Williams, barely, because of the idiotic draft snaffoo, TWICE.

And he did bring in Pat Williams and Winfield. Agreed, that's a good call.

Other than that Tice was a complete local and national embarrassment with the Superbowl tickets, the Love Boat and the Randy Ratio. he also brought in Fred Smoot.'Nuff said about him. Granted Tice had a used car dealer that Denny Hecker would be proud of. But Tice was a baffoon as a head coach.

Reid still calls his own plays in Philly. Childress isn't now. PLUS, the Vikes are the second leading scorers in the league. Yeah Childress has Favre and Peterson and Harvin but who do yout hink brought them here? Tice?

I think I am reading the musings of jealousy here. So you don't like the fact that there has been clear cut improvement over the past 3 years? 6-10, 10-6, and so far 7-1 is not good enough for you? Teams do have to gamble on some players to help them fill holes in the organization in the draft. I think it's a pretty safe statement to say that you don't do it at the QB level. Live and learn. Will he do it again? I can safely say that he would be hard pressed to do so. The Tavaris saga is egg on his face and he doesn't like that. It wasn't as much on him though as it was on Jackson. He's a super athelete that would have had a much better career in the NFL as a two or three back, possibly a Tight End. But Jackson is a panic attack waiting to happen when the pressure is on. He can't handle the weight of 70000 fans, the Vikings Roster, and all the cameras focused on him to make something happen.

Daily Horoscope for December 14

Pisces

Someone is in a no nonsense mood. This makes them rather formidable company because they aren't mucking about and they don't want to waste their time. Instead, they're very single-minded about getting what they want and they won't care who gets trampled on in the process. Be careful if this person sees you as a stepping stone towards getting what they want because they could be quite ruthless in the way they treat you.
