i think young people need to find out did older people saying that when you make it in life. that you should rent back to were you came from. are remember where came from meant try and find a better life.some time when we return back to where we came from we get with the wrong peoples. when you start making real money you have to watch who you deal with some time you have to give up your old ways think before you make a move.

I think that Pac Man Jones should have been an example for all NFL players that still want to hang in the club. And to think...with only 2 sacks out of the whole season,Charles should be praticing, sleeping, and eating on a football field and should never leave the practice field for anything other than family emergencies.

She was just pointing out that people who make lots of money sometimes use no common sense as in this case. It's no secret that many professional ballplayers, whether it be football, baseball, basketball, hockey or whatever, think they are untouchable and do as they want without considering the consequences of their actions. If they would stay out of undersirable places and away from undesirable people, maybe they would not get into trouble, hurt or killed. She is not jealous of his money or him and if you had any common sense, you would know that.

The only thing I really see here is that the young man needs to understand that once you make it big in the NFL and gain fame of any type that you can't go back home and hang out like you once did. Sounds like he ran into some people who new who he was and decided that they were going to show him that he wasn't anything special. Sometimes you can't go back home and be king, one you out grow the pond you have t learn how to swim in larger rivers and oceans. Don't think it was his fault besides not realizing this could happen before it did. Doesn't the NFL give "camps" to young guys about this stuff happening??

Wow I guess you will be hating Mike Vick until you reach your grave.
Granted some athletes need to lock themselves in the house after 6pm to help keep themselves out of trouble and out of the news.
Who said anything about hating Mike Vick? Typical Liberal. Think they can devine someones thoughts. Have you looked at any half punched chads lateley, maybe you can get a few more votes for Owl Gore.

What else should one expect from a nightclub? When will our "super heroes" realize that the party life is something they need to give up if they intend to stay healthy and out of the emergency rooms of hospitals from brawls such as this. Are there no wholesome athletes left?

I must of missed something, cause no where in the article does it say the football player was doing anything to anybody. Just as im sure the pregnant woman wasnt doing anything to any body either. So I guess she must be a supid pregnant woman along with a stupid football player for wanting to go out and get a drink during superbowl. Some of you people make some of the stupidest comments.

You don't have to do "anything to anybody" to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.....

Church Street in Blakely is a residential zone. You don't know if she was at the club or at her house. The article said she was an innocent bystander.
I would like to applaud the AP for not producing an article that convicted Charles before his trial.

Thank you so much for giving a very informative account of the events as they occurred. I am so tired of reading articles that state what a great athlete Mr. Grant is when we should really be concentrating that a woman and her unborn child were killed. I do not argue that Mr. Grant is an incredible athlete, but do we really need to know how many sacks he has made in past seasons?

I would also like to say that it is completely obvious that people posting have no idea where Blakely, Ga is located, let alone anything about Church Street. Church Street is a residential area that also has some night clubs. Blakely is quite a small town and doesn't have strips of bars as you are accustomed to in Atlanta. Also most people only know Charles Grant as a famous football player, but there are some of us that remember him as just a regular guy who played football for MCHS. He made it big when he was drafted to the Saints, but he still remembers where he came from and the people who helped him to get there. People are jumping to far too many conclusions. Let's just wait and see what evidence turns up. None of us really know what was going on then and there so who are we to make assumptions?
