Their View: Status quo of charred homes not good enough

"When we leave forests to nature, as so many people today seem to want to do, we get whatever nature serves up, which can be pretty devastating." The largest wildfire in state history and the most destructive fire in state history both ignited within a month of each other, and could have been prevented.

The excuse used for the forest service not using evergreen suppertanker is expense. Really? How much do you think these people lost! Are the insurance companies really happy about that? If there were loss of life.. how much is too much? Using the supertanker is cheaper. Get informed! This could have been avoided, that is really sad on the part of the government, but hey..are we surprised?
