It would be so refreshing to be able to read the news and know that we are receiving the whole truth and not what the writer thinks we should read or know. Full Story

Yes that is true. I think it would be a grest idea to have two people do the story. We all see things differently. I'm sure this has happened to you at some time or another. You see a person male or female, your friend thinks the person is extremely attractive you on the other hand may not. Maybe you like Pizza someone else you know can't tand pizza. So you see many things are all in the eye of the beholder. Which is why a show Like (when of course he was alive) Siskel & Ebert is so intereting, you get two different view points. But the facts in a news story should never be a matter of opinon THEY MUST be based on FACT Always! A writers opinion is ok if they must as long as they are telling the news factually.

Yes that is true and very sad. So far I have been writing my stories based on researching as much information as I can, even traveling unexplored avenues to follow the path to the truth. If the news reporters etc would not be influenced by government and corporate entititys, could you imagine how exciting the news would really be? I don;t enjoy peoples misfortune it really hurts me to know how much someone is hurt or suffering. I would however like to be warned of scams, alerted about criminals on the loose, and informed about product recalls! To me those things are important. The whole recall process as well is also highly protected by government and corporate! Go check out www.fda.gov , you will find out so much info on things that are recalled or meds that there is a shortage of! These things should be on the news but things are done legit. but silently, Take a look at the site and tell me what you think. From now on I am researching the news for myself, and I mean "The Triuth, The Whole Truth And Nothing But The Truth'.

Also most news is based on how quickly it gets out. Which means typos, errors, alot of inconsistency and speculation. Then you see a small apology a few days later for the said article being having incorrect information on it.

It would also be great to get GOOD NEWS.. people that have done good things for other folks, or for their community, or their city or their country. I know this is not a new idea but it sure would help the rest of us know that there is a lot more good in the world than bad. It helps to know this for many reasons including a feeling of community, a connectiveness to each other, a collective appreciation that we as humans feel that we do make a difference and we do care for our fellow man/woman..that the community is for everyone to take care of because we all have to live together...
Instead we get tons of bad news of all kinds and it just alienates everyone and creates fear in everyone. There is a lot more good that people do every day then the monsters that the news likes to impose upon us. It has made the world look far worse and has created a lot of cynicism. I do not innudate myself any longer with the poisonous words/tv. I would rather volunteer in the community and hang with my neighbors and friends. I would rather get active politically to help make this world better.
OK that's my soapbox.

You're right, it's hard to watch news every night (which I now don't!) because then you start feeling the paranoia from so much negativity out there!

People are intimidated when demanding the truth. Lots of things occur daily in legislation, that the regular public is not aware of. For example, the fact that stem cell research can be done from umbilical cord stem cells. Why should we use embryos for such research? Yet, these major corporations investing in embryonic stem cells, found a way of bypassing legislative laws, and have found favor in their cause. Which will one day be a major investment like the pharmaceutical companies. Can you believe how much money they are willing to pay a college girl for donating her eggs, up to $30,000! One day, human cloning will be categorized as detrimental for advancing in science. How? They'll just use cloned babies and inject them with pharmaceutical.
Umbilical stem cells have been proven to be just as good as embryonic cells. Why should embryonic stem cells be promoted? Be cause of the potential in $$$.
