Human Perception - A perceptual set, also called perceptual expectancy or just set is a predisposition to perceive things in a certain way. It is an example of how perception can be shaped by "top-down" processes such as drives and expectations. Perceptual sets occur in all the different senses. The process or state of being aware of something: the perception of time. b. Insight or knowledge gained by thinking: the perception that inheritance must be coded in DNA. c. The capacity for such insight or knowledge: theories of how to enhance human perception. "WE" are now ready to begin: Please state an observation from what you read and let's discuss it. *This is an on going process that everyone can get involved in if you don't mind being considered a part of the experiment which 'we' all are since we're humans.
