Is it OK for Obama to make speeches that contain lies?

does free speech include lieing?
"reasonably understood by the audience as a statement of fact or an exercise in political theater."
Whatever! Is there a difference - Obama must think so...

Lying falls under the right to free speech. But as always, rights are paired with responsibilities.

The listeners have a responsibility to recognize lies and reject them. When they don't the liars discover they have an audience of patsies and tell more lies, bigger lies.

While on the campaign trail in 2007, Barack Obama promised to label GMO foods if elected.
Instead, he appointed Monsanto's former VP/top lobbyist to head the FDA....

....which leads us to another POTUS lie; the promise to shut the revolving door in Washington....but instead; Liz Fowler, for instance, ran the lobbying operation at insurer Wellpoint over the last decade, then jumped to the Senate to help craft Obamacare, then to Obama's HHS to help implement Obamacare, and now to the lobbying shop of drug giant Johnson & Johnson to help profit from Obamacare.

Obama promised 'NO LOBBYISTS IN MY CABINET OR ADMINISTRATION' right? Why do you let him off for LYING so bad?

This citizen doesn't find any of it amusing or worthy of satire.
Not having a POTUS or any leadership who is trustworthy, is, to say the least, horrifying.
The USA today is becoming our great-grandparents nightmares born to life.
America, America where has your majesty gone?

history is soooooooooo much worse regarding secrecy, the presidency, and lying.

if this is the best ya'll can come up with then nice try... hell, all you have to do is look a few years back to see much worse examples.

its not a republican/democrat thing... it's an american thing which we learned from our european neighbors...

To paraphrase and summarize: Lying is OK because everyone does it.

Hmm, OK. What's that 'definition of insanity' again? Something, something 'repeat' something, something 'different outcome'?

True story. Whopping lies throughout. I just stuck with the ones affecting us today. Can't do anything about the past, except understand our history to comprehend the present. It's an agenda being carried out through each successive administration. They're just competing management strategies. They work for the same CEO.

Current POTUS has stretched so many until they broke, that credibility ceased being an option for him long ago.
