I remember Gary Puckett as being one of the best vocalists in the business. He had a superb voice.

I saw Gary Puke-it in a concert 10 years or so ago. He forgot his lyrics and lost his voice over the years. He had one excellent guitar player though. Other I saw live that year was Three dog Night, The Vogues, Steppenwolf, and Pure Jam (John Cougar Mellonhead's little brother).

I was referring to the time about 25 years before you saw him. I haven't heard anything from him recently. And I wasn't aware John Mellencamp's brother ever played with Pearl Jam. I know he had a drug problem years ago that John kept hushing up.

He was shorty and heavier. The band's name was Pure Jam. close but no cigar.

talking about old bands, just south of Austin, there is a race way that advertised for about a month that...get this...the BEACH BOYS were going to perform and I had to laugh because three days before the performance there were all these announcements that the concert was cancelled. I would imagine it was because the walkers wouldn't fit up the stairs to the stage! ROFL!!

No, the walkers are fine..they got peanut brittle for Christmas and we all know what it does to dentures!! They are really getting on up in age but still sing great..I saw them on public TV not too long ago helping raise funds to keep the network on the air.
Good morning MH, Bobby is so handsome...(:

B J Thomas is a friend of mine and is the godfather of my best friends Grandmother. He was also on the fund raiser and his "Hooked on a feeling" really showed the stress in his life. He's a great person and I love his music, it's in my will that he sings at my funeral..
