It's dead on Monday too! Boring! Hello? Is anyone awake out there?!

I'm going..........maybe I'll be back later. Or it might be more entertaining to clean my shower or vacuum. Maybe I'll go all out and do both task.

It's got to get really bad on here - NO! it's impossible to get that bad-
It's only when my IP shuts down do I clean the shower or vacuum.
Well there is one other reason and that's when my 4 year old granddaughter tells me my bathroom is dirty. What she means is it smells bad \no not that/ I smoke in it!

You let your house get that dirty! Quit smoking, it's only going to kill you.
I keep up on everything here. Don't like dirt, don't like clutter, don't like bad smells. Cigarette smoke discolors walls with the smoke and tar.

The master bathroom in my house gets the less attention only because on busy weeks I can't get to it. We also have well water with iron and stuff in it that turns our shower orange. I found using The Works shower cleaner is the easiest way to clean it white again. The only problem we have a septic and don't want to mess it up by cleaning the master shower every week to every other week. So with disgust I wait till it's crazy yucky. I do clean the rest of the bathroom all the time along with my childs bathroom and shower.

I do vacuum all the time too, because we have an inside cat and a dog who is in and out. With pollen season it's another great defence. I clean the kitchen, laundry room floors once a week. I also vacuum on the same day. I cleaned the shower today and I didn't vacuum though.

Ok I'm talking about cleaning, please don't tell this isn't boring!

Proper maintenance of a septic is flushing a bag of yeast down the commode each month. Keeps the bacteria growing which allows the sewage flow to the leach field and prevents the septic from clogging.
Two bags is good also.

So you don't think I get enough lecturing from Jo Anne ?
She says the reason she didn't complain before is that I was never home,
I don't believe that either.

That's all fine and dandy as long as your washing machine doesn't flow into your ceptic. Bleach kills any effect that yeast may have contributed.

Patch you got a point there. I'm not sure what the concentrations of bleach used in machine washing is, it may be neutralized somewhat before it gets to the septic.

Tide will also kill a septic system, killed ours. Now I run the washer to grey water which is illegal here, even during a drought. I'm curious about the dishwasher soaps..... phosphate is a big no no.

We do a septic treatment each month. Been here about 12 years and the well and septic were new when we moved in. Also I just don't want all those chemicals in my soil. The shower cleaner and toilet cleaner are about the only toxic items I use. Well at the level they are at - least.

About the smoking, I'm sure you've heard it over and over from your wife. I've witnessed 3 people in my life die from lung cancer. First the grandfather I knew the best. I was only a child then and slowly watched him day to day fade away to a man I did know anymore. Someone helpless and at the mercy of death. Then my other grandfather to whom I didn't know quite as well. Lung cancer, three to four strokes then also a slow downward to his death. To this day a few years back my mother in-law. Only difference she had chemo, she only did it for her family though. I think she wanted to die (truly my honest opinion) because she could never handle pain very well nor did she show much fight.

I wouldn't want anyone to see someone they cared about fade away like they did. Trust me!

Septic system......Is that the same as cesspool? Names may differ due to location.

We have a cesspool.....built our house 18 years ago, this past summer was the first time it need to be pumped out.

They made them take phosphate out of all soaps by what I understand. That's why they have once a month dishwasher cleaners to keep the soaps from building up in the machines. I think that's why they have washing machine cleaner too? A friend of mine got online and bought dishwasher detergent from Canada because they don't have regulations on phosphates in soaps like they do here in the US. I just buy the monthly cleaner, and somes times I need a second round because of the iron in the water turning the inside of the dishwasher orange (rust). I remember the first time I did the once a month, my husband said wow it looks almost brand new. Then I did two more rounds that time. Mind you we had never done it before and we were on year 8 - 10 on the dishwasher. The dishwasher was new when we moved in to.
