I remember my kid brother buying that 45 single back when it first came out. He bought it at a Singer's sewing machine store. There was a section in the back that had Top 20 (maybe Top 40 too) records for sale. Bell Record label, silver-colored...
I always thought it was sorta odd that a sewing machine place would be selling 45rpm hit singles.
Waaaay back then they sold stereos at those sewing machine places sonny.

Some of the sales pitches to get people to buy them was they would give you a certain number of records of your choice to sweeten the deal.

He was such a cute guy. Why would he drink his good looks away? Guess fame isn't all that grand. Sad stuff.

True but we the people hold famous people up to a higher standard.
Why? Idk, beats the hell out of me but we do. We build them up but love to watch them fall then give them second chances with our money and attention.
I think we're all alittle sadistic..lol

Not to mention some kind of deep unhappiness. It seem to be written in his very expression. Guy looks absolutely miserable.

Wasn't he suppose to be...."Happy!"

Now he can join all the rest of the criminals/arrestees on Tru TV 'World's Dumbest'. He'll fit right in with Leif Garrett, Tonya Harding, and Danny Bonaduce.

There are many then what you mention...they don't have a normal childhood...which is the foundation to life...it's really VERY sad...btw, Danny Bonaduce, is a radio DJ in the Philly area...so he is doing rather well now...

There was a great documentary movie on The Cowsills that came out awhile ago... showed fairly recently on Showtime.
Family Band: The Cowsills Story

If anyone has any interest in this group, then you really need to see this. You won't be disappointed, I guarantee!

Notoriety is not necessarily success. He may be funny to some listeners who think like eight year olds, and may have a contract for a year...or not, but I think he's arrogant and suffers from the 'Napoleon complex'.

He'll probably want to beat me up if he reads this.
