There is a difference. There is no socially acceptable way to ask to be raped. However, I am asking for women who want to be left alone. Surely there has to be a universal signal you can give to say, "I want to be left alone," or "Treat me with the same respect and distance you'd give a man."
But some women are combating this double standard. I like the story where the 6-8 lesbians put an oversexed man in the hospital. He provoked them by being oversexed, vulgar, and threatening and they are the ones in prison. He said he'd f**k the gay out of them. The world might be much better if more women did that. Men would know to walk looking down or straight ahead and let women do the same. When I am walking down the street, it is always for an important reason like paying bills, going to work, shopping, etc. Women who don't drive should have the same right to be ignored when doing their business that men have. If a woman cannot go down the street without some man treating them like a wh*re or a piece of meat to exploit and use up then EVERY man should be forced to be degraded in the same manner.
If a woman is looking at a pole, it might be that she is looking at the electrical transformer, not the nearby linesmen. If guys can have interests in technical things and be respected for it, why not women? Why must they be pushed to the inferior role of a wh*re rather than an intelligent woman who has a brain and only gets pleasure from using that, not her body? If men can live alone and be the masters of their lives, why not women? Why the double standard? If a man can go outside without being hit on by men, and asked if he wants sex with a man, why can't women have that SAME right? That is one of the few things good about gay men coming out. They are now abusing men the same way by approaching them without solicitations and intruding into their world just like men have been allowed to do for years. Turn around is fair play.

I get what you are saying about preventing unwanted attention but rape being an extreme form of unwanted attention proves that nothing you wear or do invites or prevents an attack.

The more minor yet annoying everyday unwanted behavior happens at all levels.

Remember the uncomfortable hugs Bush kept putting on Pelosi? Or when his -winked- at her Majesty Queen Elizabeth like she was his waitress at the local diner?

I doubt if they'd had shorter hair or dressed more dyke would have prevented it.

The law still doesn't allow them to beat him over the head as a response to his social gaffs of a wink or clumsy hug

His wife Laura or mother Barbara should have told him it was inappropriate and to keep his hands to himself.

Better yet will be someday when you can count on a father to teach his son that is inappropriate.

In the meantime all you can do is speak up. Pelosi should have taken him aside and said please don't do that it makes me uncomfortable.

My girlfriend had a strap-on that she kept in her bedside nightstand.
It was a massive 12" black rubber one that was embossed on the side with a winged shoe & Goodyear.

It didn't turn me off, but it did scare me plenty.

Hypatia the Greek philosopher and head of the school at Aexandria threw her bloody menstrual rags at an unwanted suitor.

You needn't go that far.

Just asking a man to o get you a box of tampons should do the trick.

Me and my BF love to play practical jokes on his best friend. So we bought a strapn on. painted some brown streaks on it(to look like doo doo)than gused a clue gun and made dripage comimg from the head, than clue some corn to it. We stuck it in the bed of his "new" truck.3 days later he never noticed it, so we told him. Funny thing is , he is a Mechanic amd his buddies at work saw it. That has been a pass around joke.

Being oneself requires being left alone in one's own world. As long as such women are approached at all, they are not free to be themselves. Being yourself requires being alone or at least allowed by others to do so. Society is obligated to give that to such people and to bring sanctions against those who interfere.

There needs to be a universal way a woman can dress or act that is protected by society so men can know to be turned off and that the women are not interested. The problem is not anyone refusing to be themselves, it is others refusing to stay out of people's ways and let them. We as society need to find ways to destroy the sense of self of these men. Perhaps the natural, masculine sense of self is an evil thing, and it takes society to destroy most of it to create decent guys.

This day and age, they'd arrest you for indecent exposure, even on top of your clothes. Hey, they got a woman for sexual assault for hitting her partner with a sex toy in a nonsexual context.

No, I'm not asking anything, and none of this is about me. EVERY person should have the right to be out in public alone without being approached by strangers. If they were raised correctly, they would think only about themselves and their own family and friends, in their own world, and not stare at others nor speak to strangers unless spoken to first. The sun has to shine, but the men CAN change their behavior as it serves NO valid nor constructive purpose.
Most of the men that these women in question complain about are crash. They are of a lower class than these women who have standards. These women are not race-mixing wh*res who go out with felons and addicts. No, they either want no men and to live a life totally isolated from men, or they want good quality men of their own race who are doctors, managers, scientists, nurses, or about any other prestigious profession.
It is impossible for such women to enjoy their walk, as it REQUIRES being respected the SAME as men. If men don't abuse them by approaching them for sex and raping their alone time, then why should they expect to do that to women? We need to attack this double standard, and it is excuses for such men as it seems you might be making (not intentionally) that cause this. Any women who blame the victims in this (always women) in the least or refuse to work to change society where the men doing this will feel really bad, face tremendous pressure, or change are betrayers of all woman. No offense, but your reply sounds a bit like, "If she didn't dress that way they might have lefter her alone, and boys will be boys, so you might as well to learn to enjoy being raped. It is just sex, and natural, and sex always feels good..."
