as so as you solve..........

From fewer firefighters to increased taxes in Montreal and Regina, the battle to control public-service pension plans is hitting home for Canadians across the country.

Governments at all levels are grappling with massive deficits in their public pension plans thanks to a combination of factors, including low interest rates, sluggish investment returns and an aging work force that is retiring in record numbers.

Yeah, but we're paying the entire cost of the new bridge/border crossing across the river into Michigan. Michigan wouldn't or couldn't pay a dime. We're giving Michigonians jobs..lol

Seriously though, public service unions are only reaping what they have sown for years, some of them overpaid greedy goons.9983 Every country got debt, ours not so bad as some places, but it is enough to be concerned about.

Good evening to you.

I'm only kidding around, got nothing to brag about. Our parliament is suppose to start up in Sept after the summer break, but the PM shut down parliament until later in October for some dumb reason. Govt offices and services still function though.

Evening to you too Perse.

It is. I have to figure out what to be this year and we have to decided whether to go to a family party or an adult party. I think I'd rather go to the adult one.
If we go to the adult one, Bambi is going to maybe go as a hot fraulein German Beer Maid (she probably can't wear that to the kids one ... I think it is kind of slutty, as most female costumes are, thank you Jesus :)...).
If she did that I could do Lederhosen, yah. Unlike my idea last year to be maybe be a hobo, I have Bavarian blood ... so no one can get offended <rolls eyes>.
Take the kids to a family party then get them home just in time to hit the adult party or do them on different days? With Halloween coming on Thursday this year there's bound to be a Friday party somewhere? If not have your own on Friday?
