<quoted text>We, here in St.Louis are concerned that the Rams may move back to Los Angeles.
If there isn't an agreement reached to either 'signifcantly upgrade' the Edward Jones Dome downtown, or build another stadium altogether that would put them in the top tier (whatever that is), they could pull the plug after next season, I believe.
The owner has deep pockets, but he's looking to get the city to split a good part of the cost with him. I watched the football Cardinals move to Phoenix in 1988, and sure hate to think NFL football might leave again. It very well might happen.
We want our Rams back. ;)

That's understandable, and I think they left L.A. under some questionable motives when Georgia Frontiere had controlling ownership of the team.
You'd be getting back a team that is finally on the rise again, and a great coach in Jeff Fisher. Hell, I'd take the Jaguars if the Rams left. I just don't want to be without an NFL team.

At least the Rams gave us a 2 Super Bowls and one NFL championship. The Cardinals gave us nothing but heartache.

What do you think about the playoff system? I'm liking it, at least it's headed in the right direction.

Growing up our household was divided Raiders/Rams, it was very sad to see them go. Los Angeles has been without a NFL team too long but I really doubt the Rams are coming back.

<quoted text>The Dolphins hinted at a move too. Did you see where Senator McCain is introducing a bill to stop local blackouts of all NFL games who play in publicly built stadiums? Pretty interesting. The ramifications if that passes are endless.
Hadn't seen that, and it is an interesting concept. When Spagnuolo was still coaching the team in 2011, we had local blackouts because the team was so damn bad.
Sometimes, the visiting team's fans seemed to outnumber the home crowd. They certainly had more to cheer about.

<quoted text>The Colts left Baltimore over a stadium issue where the thing was old and decrepit and an undesirable multi-purpose property. Understandably so as it was 70+ years old with horrible sight lines for BB and Football. Now an NFL team will threaten to leave after 20 years and the stadium was built publicly. It's scary if your team is in a down cycle where fan support is luke warm AND the lease is up. We all thought the Cardinals were coming to Baltimore LOL. Thank God that didn't happen.
The team's FINALLY on the rise again, and the Edward Jones Dome has been there only 17 years. It holds 70,000, and is by NO means in an undersirable area, or questionable condition.

I just don't get it. Not every owner has 'stupid money' like Jerry Jones Even though Rams owner Stan Kroenke is worth 6-7 billion, he's a businessman, and thus wants to cut a deal that's in his best interest.

Jeez, the baseball Cardinals were in the old Busch Stadium from 1966-2005, and that place REALLY needed replacing.

Kurt is one of the MOST amazing success stories I've ever witnessed. Completely under the radar, and only given the chance to be the Rams' quarterback after Trent Green's knee got blown out in the preseason.
He actually was living in his vehicle in the pre-Rams days when he was stocking shelves in a grocery store.

He's grateful and humble. I wish more athletes were like him.
