What is the best way to deal with a "Know-It-All"
Every topic that comes up this person seems to know more then me, So I picked a topic im very familiar with, just to test a theory and the persons information is faulty. This person is fooling know one and impressing know one.
So how would you deal with this person.

unfortunately something I've learned in life is people like this won't change, until they grow up. Regardless how old they are, you know what I mean. I've always used the tactic of avoidance, just quit being around them or if that's not possible you can always (without trying to sound like a gossip or something) feel out other people and see if they feel the same way about this person. Chances are you're not the only one that knows they're full of it! If possible you might want to trap them in front of other people with the subject you're well-versed on, and call them out on their errors right in front of everyone. You will probably make an enemy out of them, but if you don't care it might feel very satisfying if you pull it off! oh, and don't go with the mouth punch. Violence is never the answer.

in the situation where I slowly moved the topic of conversation toward something im familiar with and then started asking the person questions that I already know the answer to, I found it rather unusual to hear the person try to impress me with false and information.
What I am curios about the most is motive, I know the person is wrong, does the person know that I know, should I tell the person that the person is making a fool of themselves trying make themselves seem they know when I know they do not.
I see no reason to disrespect some one who does not know, however I find it very difficult to respect someone who does not know and tries to make people thing otherwise.

We all have talents and strengths. With an open mind and heart we are able accept another's point of view and perhaps learn a thing or two.
What is right for me may not be suitable for others. Does anyone remember knowing it all at one point in our lives only to discover ... we hadn't a clue on how life teaches each and all of us different rights and wrongs?
I've learned to let others believe they are right rather than argue and it was effortless compared with trying to sway them to my way of thinking. I don't know it all, but I seek to learn all that is important to me and let the knowitalls have it their way >>>>>>> >>>>>over there>>>>> >>>.
