Good deed for the day: Dispatched a drone for our little Shadows fella. Good training for him.
Why is it when you drink water it comes out looking like beer but when you drink beer it comes out looking like water..?

When I saw this thread with the way it was written my first thought was HH. This a great idea and a thought we should all keep in mind. Doing good deeds is not only rewarding to the recipient, but you as well.
Hats off to you HH, another great thread.

I go to the home of a busy single mother whom works and has 3 kids (8,6,5) and do the wash and clean one day a week.I feel I am doing a good deed. But,if you look at the big picture. This woman took temporary custody of these children while their mother got her sh....t together. Almost 5 yrs ago. This woman I say is the blessing of good deeds.
This sounds very much like the situation I'm in at the moment. Except I've only got 2 additions to my family (4 & 7). It's like starting all over for me since mine are 14 & 18. More tiring than I remember it being!:)

Thank you to Hippichick, ShadyBits, and Colorado Chick for
complimenting the thread. My thinking is if it becomes a constant
effort to do at least one-good-deed-per-day "WE" can make it a better world at least in the part that surrounds "US".

This summer while camping a middle age couple came in next to us,
they had sold what they had and bought the pull camper and truck
with their life savings hoping to travel and find jobs since they both lost theirs. I decided to help them along (alittle) to put a one hundred dollar bill in a zip bag and left it on their folded up step with a note pay-it-forward
before leaving the campsite to come home. I felt great the remainder of the day.

This is my story. I raised 2 girls. One compliant, a mothers dream.. the other, well.. you know. a nightmare..was nothing to go into stores and be the mother that all the old ladies looked at in horror,,while my child hung from the conveyor belts.. One day, she jumped out of the cart, into a rack of clothing. tore it all down. I was at my wits end. I retrieved her, and looked at the mess, knowing I had to clean it up,,but also knowing, she would be right back out of the cart..An older lady ( my age now lol ) walked up to me, patted me on the arm..and said,, honey,,we all have one like that, give her a kiss, and take her home.. Ill pick up this mess for you.. I still remember exactly what she looked like..wings and all...
I do my best, when I see this happen now.. to do the same thing this woman did for me.. its very hard being a mom of a strong willed child.. they dont need looks of horror,, they need some old lady ( me now) telling them its ok...and to love them..so, yep, I try to pay that forward.. 20 years later..and make that woman proud...

I took up for a lady who needed
a friend and was being attacked on
the boards.

Didn't turn out too well.
Now they are attacking me....lol

Oh well. Maybe they will leave
her alone for awhile.

Then I took up for homosexuals rights
to be left alone. Live and let live.

And some a$$ cloned my account and is,
as I type, spreading hate and racism all
across the Top Stories board.

No good deed goes unpunished:)

It would take a lot of time here wouldn't it?

To clone ppls accounts and spend time posting
things that the particular poster cloned would
never say......pathetic.

They are so busy scheming..they must never have
time to just post and enjoy themselves.

Took 2 kids I've never met before to chuck e cheese today. One of the little one's I have was having a birthday & I don't know anyone w/lil ones so I asked my sister if she knew anyone with kids the same age, she said she sorta knew a lady who had 2 that she sees at the bus stop in the mornings... turned out great. Everyone had fun & the kids mom was greatful her kids got to go have a good time.

As I head out today I will have this good deed thread on my mind. Kindness go's a long way in my book.

So if your walking down the street sometime
And you see some hollowed ancient eyes
Please don't pass them and stare
Like you you didn't care
Just say hello in there
Hello
