Mr. Torre, I do believe that there is a HUGE housing shortage in your area. You could lower your standards a bit and stay in a shelter for a while. Put your name on some waiting lists, and save every penny you can. By the time your name comes up, you will have all the money you need for moving expenses and utility deposits.

I have now read a great many of your posts and since I live in the "disability capital" of the world. You are in no way special. 75% of the people I know here that are on disability lied to get it. Get a good lawyer, be patient, go to lots and lots of doctors and get yourself a check. If you can walk half a mile to the store to get your groceries, chances are pretty good that you can work. If you took care of your dying mother (and I am truly sorry about her passing) and yourself while she was sick, you should have been investigated immediately. Goodwill Industries prefer to hire people just like you. I am just taking a wild guess here that like most people, you fought tooth and nail for that measly $875 so you would not have to work and you will be damned if you take a chance on making a few extra bucks by actually doing something, even if it is to save your own hide. I am sorry Mr. Torre but at one time I supported myself and two children on $1004 per month. Paid rent and everything. I no longer feel sorry for you.

I seek NO sympathy. No solutions in it. I greatly enjoyed my job, the people I worked with bevame my friends. I did'nt want disability status. I did take a part time job to avoid it. Finally teached the point I could'nt do that AND do my personal errands/ chores. So I applied, went through all the legal requirements. Just because I can get to a store does'nt mean onr can work LONG enough to earn a livable wage. Therein is tje difficulty. All the work I did to have the life I worked for- my goals- gone because of it. Even your looking into the housing crisis of this area shows you I don' t have enough income. I know my situatiin and what is needed. Why I been asking advice. Mostly hoped someone in the same spot would talk to me.

"Thanks Eleanorigby. You and Grace helped with those links. State/ government agencies move slow. However, nothing confirmed. My mom took a lot out of me to care you. I' m glad you remember me from 3 yrs ago. Like the saying goes: truth is stranger that fiction. And that's what I post. And all the twists and turns in life. You and Grace are outstanding people! How I wish to meet you both! Maybe one day. Both of you have wisdom and never show disrespect to anyone. That WOWS me!"

Sure you don't...that is textbook Munchausen's.

I have a consultstion this evening with a lawyer about my situation. Www.weisberglawoffices.com . More proof of my case. Where's milwuakee69's proof?
"Would someone be in contact to a lawyer on seeking help to get an extension on a home foreclosure? And to get legal advice on seeking help from being homeless?"

I too have a consultation this evening with a lawyer.

Here's my proof:

Vengeful? I think you need to understand just a few things about me before you use that word on me. I dispise liars like this. Especially the type who seemingly make light of people who are genuinely down on their luck. I have had plenty of experience with folks that don't have half of what he claims to have - and they certainly don't use their money or time trolling public forums. And they certainly don't ask for help or advice from a bunch of chair-sittin' hypocrites behind a computer either.
Chili has offered more than enough suggestions to help this person and he ignores them all. He contradicts himself constantly, which liars often do.
I'm not buying anything he posts - it's way too perfect of a sad sack story. Even the shopping cart guy catches a break every once in awhile.
Ask yourself one question - if this guy wanted genuine help and suggestions, then why hasn't he signed up for a Topix account and take his plight to private messaging? Why start a thread that starts out, "Trying to survive?"
Ok,
Maybe VENGEFUL was too strong a word,
@pologies..

but wondering why you are taking it  SO
 seriously,
he is just writing generally..

Upper Darby, PA is a suburb of Philly that's an appropriate place to live if you're a professional that works in Philadelphia. You live in an expensive area, you have to expect expensive rents. Would you expect to survive in NYC on $800/mo? No, so why would you expect to survive somewhere on the same scale as NYS on that same amount? It's silly to even think you can afford to live there.

The solution to your problem is as plain as the nose on your face, you take the money you failed to use to pay the mortgage payments with and use it to move to an area that you can afford. These are less than 100 miles from you and less than $500/mo.

And there are plenty more available....

Don't bother responding with excuses because much like everyone else, I've read enough of them.

In your priors that I've read, you seem to be a caring, compassionate human being. You also appear to take a genuine interest in others in need. All of these are fine qualities. I've previously stated my POV on the subject of this thread. To bottom line this, for a guy who tells us he is truly in dire need, with his eviction imminent, he sure appears to have imposed a lot of conditions on where he will and won't live, etc.
My previous experience with folks who are staring homelessness in the face has been this. Even those who initially set conditions on where they will and won't live, at some point, as the event nears, get real and accept the best temporary housing arrangement their residential environment offers them. He doesn't appear to be there yet and might not get there at all. My compassion is more limited for folks who choose to fail.
Meant to thank you for this good post,
I suppose the bottom line is.. that it's
difficult to judge any one person and
their circumstances, there's so much else
involved, a lotta stuff we may not know,

and we are all VERY different.

Why key on only me?

There are a lot of others on here that also doubt his story - a story that has more holes than a piece of Swiss cheese.

Stop trying to moderate, Grace - we don't need one here.

It's not hard to find him when he feels the need to respond to my every post - on one thread.

It's not like he's hard to find like "Where's Waldo."
