That's very cool, Boomer ... My B-I-L's family (part of it is in Cleveland) and make many trips up there ... My baby sister and BIL planning move to either Nashville or Knoxville so won't be too far from there ... certainly a lot closer than Texas ... I plan on making the move ... I have reservations as Texas is my home but I want to be close to my family and the move to TN is getting closer to my older brother in Atlanta and my little brother in Detroit ... well, they live in the burbs, much better than in the city for sure ... I put those links in my favorites and will certainly check them out ... will definitely keep the lakehouse here and hope one day we'll get enough rain to fill up the lake ... it'll happen, just don't know when ... thank you so much for the links ... bet you have fun up there ... I'm so anxious to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ... you've been there? Okay, give it up, how many times, LOL ... Peace~FC <3 ...

They[ the budget] didn't take our free travel

I'm satisfied with the outcome,
we have to pay a few euros extra here & there,
but not earth shattering!

Maureen, my Irish cousin who lives in the UK,
tells me our travel system over here in Ireland for
the 'oldies'[God help us, I'm one(:
altho'I still keep my brain well oiled]

is a far more generous system than that of the UK..

We have full free travel on all long distance trains..
coaches, city trams and buses, and can travel anytime.

How does that compare with you El in Wales for example? or the UK, far as you know?

I love some of the Stephen King novels. I had a pinched back nerve that required me to be prone most of the day. My wife picked up 6 of his novels that I had not read. I finished all 6 in about 2 weeks.

I found some books I had mislaid when we did the furniture swop
around the other week, one of which is 'Letters from America' written by Alistair Cooke...I read it years ago but am reading a
few chapters every night before I go to sleep, brilliantly written.

That's right Franko, they have smaller bags of popcorn and a coke, that is only £3. 95 but it's hardly worth having. Imagine taking a bunch of children to the cinema and having to pay that much.
I took a milk shake in one time and produced it from my bag just before the lights went down, quick as a flash, the lady along the row said 'mind the usher doesn't see you, you are not supposed to bring in your own refreshments'...I was in two minds whether to tell her 'mind yours' instead of which I politely thanked her, but it's like living under a dictatorship!...:)

I felt a bit bad jokingly repeating what that fellow on Sky News
said about his mug, toilet humour not being our scene Grace and
friends, but it was funny when HE said it as he usually a dignified chap.

I lkie Will and Kate, the latest is she has been discharged from hospital, not the best start to her pregnancy, but she looks fine and hopefully all will go well for them now.

We can only be thankful for small mercies can we not Grace,
it the same here, they have left our Winter Fuel Payments
intact, and also free travel on buses, we don't have trams here
(more's the pity) and I don't think we qualify for free train travel, occasionely they make concessions on the mountain railway to locals...that's about it. That is excellent that you have the free long train rides....

Well can only say that I hope you are feeling better and that the anti-biotics and steroids help and have kicked in.
I had to laugh listening to a comedian on the telly, he was talking about 50 Shades of Grey...and said he thought it was a Dulux Colour chart, hahaha
Bitterly cold here and raining, had a teensy sprinkling of snow but that has all gone, it is just cold. Oddly enough I like it,
I love frosty morning....can't wait to see some snow.
