Hope all has worked out well with all since Thursday(?)! A mild but dreary weekend here -- but no rain yet as forecast -- and not much to write about (like housework, lol) And won't bore with American college championship weekend and pro football games that will be forming the playoff brackets!
Did see a news blurb about Beckham retiring from U.S. pro soccer. Might play in Europe and is interested in team ownership somewhere; no coaching in his desires.
Hope you liked the new shirts Cuz Luke, and don't mind the sequins
decorating the logo. Got the idea from watching Strictly Come Dancing on the telly!..:)

I saw Becks at his 'send-off' at LA Galaxy...along with his three sons, if you are going to leave, then leave in style, it was wonderful to see, it doesn't seem two minutes since he joined
Manchester United as a teenager, pity he left, but he has been a good ambassador for his country imo. It will be interesting to see where he goes next, apparently he has had offers from top clubs back in the UK...
Of course a lot depends on Victoria.....

<quoted text>El, happeeeeeee MOANday morning to you, the other kitchen snackers, and of course, Dennis Farina. I neglected to tell you about Jag, he is still hanging in there. The pain pills are given to him more often it seems, though a half here, a whole there. He passed the 3 month mark, the vet said 3-6, it is like glaring at a watch all the time. It is after 7AM, leaving for work for a few hours around 8. I am sure once the "kiss curl's" commercial has been on awhile it will get to Youtube. Funny that grace let the cat out of the bag, that could have saved me a private message, huh? Ha!!!!!! Here you are, stoically silent and she turned into the town crier. ha ha ha.
LOL, Butting into your reply to El...
but then it IS Topix! lol

[forgive me Vee & El]!

Don't think by now there's much left that's private
about Dennis Farina & the love Vee has for him!!!

Vee, must take my hat off to you for being
consistent! lol.

Geez, you SURE DO need to meet him,
you've done all the homework!

I kinda think he owes ya!

Sorry you are overburdened with work -

haven't been here much past few days,

ALL the time, it kept coming to me..
in such strong measure..
*how blessed* I am & have been;
in being able to move.. walk & come & go as I
please, in my 70 th year!

when she, several years younger that I..
cannot.

I suppose I'm lucky in that I 'SEE' and appreciate all that
for it's HUGE worth.

I won't go on..

El,
Glad you were filled in with XFACTOR, I know these things come & go..
but i'd love to see JAHMENE win.. he seems an exceptional
type of person [in more ways than one]

There's another Liverpudlian, by name of CHRIS..
who has been bullied throughout..
by the public & judges alike [sadly]

I never HONESTLY knew why.. sometimes,
I feel folks don't bother to 'think' for themselves!
but follow whatever is fashionable either to hate or like!

I like him, he has an excellent voice..
I felt, from the start.
and has reached the final

FAIR PLAY! Chris!

and, if he won, I'd smile and be glad for him..
eventho' JAHMENE is my own personal choice to win,.

Enough of that.

Greetings to ALL here,
it's cold here tho' seasonal.

el,
don't tire yourself..
take it in stages.

I guess they are airing it for the holidays. I read a lot of questions about it, I love the one, "Who is the white haired guy?" ha ha ha ha ha.
Vee....he might have white hair but it hasn't slowed him down
at all...I looked around on youtube for this commercial..and
found a short where he comes to England....some of the one-liners
are incredibly funny....like at Customs when he goes back to
New York, he is asked 'anything to declare'?'yes..don't go to England'..hahaha ..another..'you know England don't you'...
Dennis:'yes, chips and fish, bad food and Mary bloody Poppins'
hahaha Bless him, lol.

I think myself lucky every day Grace, having had a 'reprieve'
many years ago. Long story.

Got quite far with the repairs, enough is enough, it is quite
sound now whatever the weather. A bit more tomorrow until it
is finished. Appreciate your advice...:)x

Well, I have been through every emotion this afternoon, I checked
out Christopher Maloney, singing The Rose....absolutely beautiful,
then watched Jahmene Douglas, both on youtube of course, again,
utterly incredible....and both such nice, decent, charismatic
people.....who could choose. I think in all honesty that Jahmene
has the edge....we shall see. Will be watching 'with you' Grace,
and thank you so much for mentioning both, enabling me to catch up
somewhat.

Oh and, thanks for not letting on to Vee I mentioned her plea
on the local radio staion, hahaha

If you would settle for a friend telling you.....I can tell you
lots about those war years.

I can tell you of a two year old toddler hiding under the oak
dining table when the air-raid sirens sounded, warning of
enemy aircraft approaching.

I can tell you of my uncle, home on leave from his naval duties
on the convoys transporting war supplies to Russia, taking me
to see the Italian Prisoners of War who were working locally,
and my giving them bits of my chocolate he had brought home,
through the fence.

Of my new baby brother born in a grand hotel in Blackpool where
my mother was evacuated for safety purposes.

Taking for granted being woken in the middle of the night, being
put into my 'Mickey Mouse' gas mask, carried outside and hurriedly
placed in the underground (Anderson) shelter.(All good fun!)

Fortunately spared the knowledge that there was a war going on around me.

Going to see 'Skyfall' tomorrow.

The 'Royal Variety Show' is about to start
on the television, if it isn't recorded, then
someone may make mention of the Duke and Duchess
of Cambridge expecting their first baby.

Well...that's me for today, have a great afternoon/
evening everyone.

Good day Cobber!(see, I didn't forget)!
James May was on a chat show I watched last night, with his
cohort Jeremy Clarkson...first time I have seen them, also a
guest was Joan Rivers, outrageous as ever...well, the two 'J's
laughed like little kids at some of things she said, they were
good sports and very pleasant on the show. I think Jeremy Clarkson
goes out of his way to be contraversial, am I right?
..out of sausage, will you settle for a bacon sarni..:)
It wasn't Graham Norton, was it? Clarkson is a bit of a nutter... I reckon that's why I love the show so much!
