I dunno where my Server has me today, I have never heard of
Herne Bay, let alone been there!
Have been out of commission for a few...one thing and another...
all is well as I speak.

I googled some of those BBQ joints, wouldn't mind a trip to Rays
at all SLACK..although didn't find that on google....Brown Sugars
in Houston looks the business.....I'n not a meat eater anymore
but confess to eating chicken...

Paisley Posey lived in New Orleans for a long time, she loved it,
seems a great way of life.

I never did have SPAM Sir Tally...although P remembers it well,
all the same the platter sounds wonderful, a real centre piece
for any table. Vwery interesting to hear about.

famous Ray's
West Memphis Arkansas

In Memphis Tennessee the "favorite" place is the Roundevu, terrible food, dry meat over priced, in a basement, back alley doorway, I don't get it

After checking both out...I think I'm gonna have to go with Rays..lol...fat chance of my
ever getting there but if I ever do.......! I see what you mean about the Roundevu...
very mixed reviews, had to laugh at one critisism...the lady said she had to admit
her ribs were dry. Dry Ribs? Like the sound of Rays a lot. Knows his stuff.

years ago I ordered some food at the counter, Ray was expediting and asked "to go?" told him "for here", he responds "where's your people?" with a slightly twisted look on his face, told him it was for me, he informed me it was way too much food, I explained I would eat to my liking here, have more later my in my motel, and ice down the rest and enjoy it on the road the next day. Ray grabbed one plate turned to the cook and said "put more catfish on this mans plate, he's hungry"

way cool dude

Good morning El : ) Getting ready to garage sale. Not much yesterday. I did buy 4 Tommy Bahama silk shirts for $1 each. They cost about $90 each. People who live in very expensive homes don't buy junk : )

Good Morning Denny...again, a fab find. But I always found that people who lived in
very expensive homes were more tight-fisted than most. Unless inherited they had
worked hard to buy those homes and made them more reluctant to give anything away.
So let us know what you find today anyway...:)

Well three cheers, I finally managed to get back into topix.
I hit reply and am overtaken with full screen adverts which,
when deleted, deletes topix altogether.
If anybody has the answer, would be so grateful.

GRACE.....tried all morning (on and off) to reply to your post..
are you having this cold snap we are having here..not to mention
the light drizzle? Brrrr. Felt incredibly sorry for Brazil, players
and the Manager, not to say Germany didn't play magnificently,
they did, but just crossing fingers for Brazil tonight, that they are
not so humilitated as before.

A charming letter from a 9 year old girl to the Brazilian Captain
who was crying after the match, telling him he had done his best
that he must not be sad.....it was really sweet.

VEE..disappointed not to see you here, hope you are 'with computer'
by this time and that all is well.

PP....always glad to see ya.....:)

SIR TALLY....there is a real chill in the air here, how is your weather lately?

Wishing everyone a good day and thinking fondly of DW, Krypteia, Tony
and Franko.....where you at????...:)

Two out-of-staters won top honors Saturday at the 7th annual Big Rib BBQ & Blues Fest in Highland Park.

Smokin’ T’s of Long Grove, Illinois, and Porky ‘N’ Beans of Port St. Lucie, Florida, won the juried competition for best sauce and best ribs during the four-day festival, which ends Sunday.

Second place for best sauce went to Texas Pit BBQ of Willis, Texas. Gator BBQ from Ontario, Canada, received the best ribs silver prize.

East Rochester’s Good Smoke BBQ, 326 W. Commercial St., finished third in both categories.

Event organizers will present one more award on Sunday — the People’s Choice Award. Each festivalgoer has the chance to cast his or her ballot at the event.

The festival is open from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sun

weather is fine , all meals are a matter of taste ..

Lets me out then...I am very softly spoken although I do laugh loud. I am reminded of
an occasion in Spain, one morning in the small town tree lined town square, men playing
boules, a lady came along, sat on a form, and proceeded to sing, totally uninhibited and the
atmosphere was enchanting. We Brits are far too inhibited..although things are changing,
with the generations.
