Have you seen the flag of Wales.(:
Do you not fly the Stars and Stripes in Texas? Saw a lot of that in the crowd at the match
last night.
Can you believe this? There was a house for sale in the next village to where I was at
the time, in Wales, and an English couple bought it in their innocence. After the purchase
was completed the house owner next door promptly hung the Welsh flag in the window,
in that area to indicate national pride. Makes me wonder had that couple seen the flag
before purchase if they would have gone ahead.
What is it with the Lone Star...how come you are able to have your own flag in Texas,
I never did understand that?
Every state has it's own flag. We are just more proud of it than others ! We have shirts that are the Texas flag. We fly the American flag above the Texas flag. Our Flag has one lone start which was our original Republic flag. The lone star state :) It would be like each county in England have their own flag

The official state flag of Texas, called the Lone Star Flag, was adopted in 1845 when Texas became the 28th state of the United States. ........the large white star was first used on Texas flags in the 1830's during the battles between Texas and Mexico.

so the supreme court decided yesterday we are no longer a republic but now a democracy, I am sure a majority of people don't like me so let me be first to the guillotine

Thanks Sir Tally and Denny, have to admit I find it very confusing.

Denny, each COUNTRY within the UK has it's own flag, each COUNTY
it's Coats of Arms.

Oh I see. This might sound very naive but surely the Supreme Court
should not show any leanings to any party?

It would be nice if that were true. Most decisions come down 5-4. You have 4 very liberal judges who most often vote with Democrat issues and 4 conservative judges and one who you nevery know about. It was very rare when Obama lost 9-0. That is a big slap down

Good Morning Kitcheneers

(borrowing Deer Whisperer's phrase)

Nice to see Krypteia here and PP too...

So important imo to know what goes on in the world around
us, I for one was ignorant of the Koch Bros., and thank
SLACK for bringing it here.

A programme on the tv last night where Peter Fonda was
discussing the movie Easy Rider at a time that Dennis Hopper
has a photo exhibition in London. As to who was the writer and
etc.

During the interview he was asked what he thought of America today.

His answer was very sad indeed and confirms what many have claimed
in this very Kitchen and that was

"I think that American citizens have been abandoned...."

How sad a remark is that?

Baba coming on a treat 5 months now!
A little dote and & spoiled rotten:)

I think some little kids who suffer in the very early days can be timid,
as a result;

others, perhaps stronger personalities may cope better.

Would love 2hear of your TESCO experience.

Had a GREAT re union last night!

5 months already.....and why shouldn't she be spoilt!..:)

Yeah, only the other day actually, the day you mentioned your own experience,
I called in the Tesco Extra store pick up a few bits and bobs.....passing the
children's clothing I heard this lady snap at the little boy who was holding onto
the trolley in which there was a little girl of about 12 months......I did a u-turn
(lol) and said to the lady in charge of the children,'I bet the little boy is great
little helper' smiling, and she looked a bit startled but begrudgingly said 'oh he is'
and we struck up a conversation. In no time at all she told me she was adopting the
two children ...'I had him first' gesturing to this little boy who was two and half,'and they
asked if I wanted to take on her'...her being this beautiful little girl who I have to say
looked very very happy and contented as did her little brother.
The lady explained that she learnt at an early age she couldn't have children.....
she was by now by my reckoning around 35/40.
We discussed the children and she looked at them and the one thing she said
worried me, she said 'yes, I SUPPOSE I am blessed'.
Like I said, the children looked very happy, well cared for, but it struck me her
heart wasn't in it.
How I would have loved to have those children!

Bit cooler today Grace, downright cold in fact, just come indoors and glad
to do so.

Much to catch up upon with your son no doubt....say Hi from me!
