Congratulations Pretty Feet! Hopefully, your new place is a condo that includes services such as yard work, and maid service -- like vacuuming, dusting, etc !
I'd be happy about that!
I will in the future be thinking about change of that nature, I'm sure.
Good on ya for your new life !:)
nope, no yard work - cause no grass - one of the reasons I liked the place. unfortunately still need the maid service,- ME is it! lol - not a problem though,
and hubby "says" hes gonna do the cooking "hee hee" - says he'd like a "good meal for a change" LOL - fine by me too..
;)

good to see u again Luke!

"umm not sure what chuffed exactly means, but hopefully nothing negative"

LOL!

Not sure if it's in the English dictionary but it means 'pleased'..I mean am I likely to say
'not pleased' to see you here?...:)
It gets harder getting on topix and although nice to pass the time of day with friends
it can be most annoying when so much else to occupy ourselves. Plus, the
adverts are horrendous accompanying it.
Hope the move is going according to plan...a nice time to move into your new place,
you will be settled in by Christmas for sure.
Have been having a heatwave here, it's been glorious, but a lot cooler this morning
and that is very welcome too.
Glad you liked the card....:)(How many 'J's do ya know? lol

Very distressing to hear, hope the morons who carried out this attack

Presuming it is youngsters responsible, can we blame the parents for
lack of guidance or not? One time we were sitting overlooking a
lake, swans swimming about, when two kids ..with their father...
started chucking stones at the swans, At least I was able to prevent
them doing it any more as I shouted across to them, yelled actually,
and they stopped in their tracks, but what was the father thinking of?
Mindless individuals they are.
Personally I have so little trust in how people treat animals, I have
kept most of the ones I have rescued rather than take the risk in
rehabilitating them, gaining their confidence, then sending them
elsewhere where they may not be looked after. I can sleep better
that way.
Wishing you a Good Morning Grace.....sun has just come out, it's
lookin' good!

Good Morning back El,
Lovely weather we're having here too,
Not FIERCE hot which suits me lots better, as it saps me energy,
but very pleasant sunshine and sea breezes..
(I'm approx 12minutes from the sea)

You are so right in what you say,
Yet there are others, lie yourself, you have rescued animals
And given them the greatest care..

I met a few one woman with two teenage daughters
who obviously adored their dog, it was a kind of collie mix
a picture to look at... they told me he was a rescue,
and couldn't stop shaking for ages when they first got him
And was thin and miserable,
It was delightful to see such a transformation into
A gorgeous dog fill of bounce and confidence..

I always think even basic respect should be taught in schools,
yet it NEVER IS..

It should be there by nature but when it is not,
It should fe taught by parents and schools.

Wishing you a restful weekend...El.

Good morning El and Grace and PF and all who come to the kitchen in friendship:) Getting ready to go Gsale hunting for treasures. I bought a brand new never worn pair of Justin steel toe workboots for $3. They sell for $150 so I should sell them for $75 :) SWEET! I bought a pair of Basuch Binoculars for $5. They had what looked like a bib scratch in the lens . I took off the eye piece and cleaned them and put it back together and it was fixed. I have 5 pair so one would think I was a peeping Tom :) I just can't pass up a bargain :)

You're in good company if you get mixed up sometimes, shhhhh....let's keep it
between ourselves, lol
You need time when you are moving otherwise it can be exhausting. My next door
neighbour moved back to England and left all her furniture in storage,
as she had moved in with family until she got sorted.....anyway she came back
to collect it last week and called in....I was really chuffed to see her as well
funnily enough.
But you are not alone in hanging on to treasured things...I have my son's
Christening shawl still....and some of his little shoes (white kid boots)
and some of his little outfits..I will pass them down to my grandaughter one
of these fine days.
Not things you want to let go...these are the memories you can take away
with you ...:)

Morning Sir Tally.....I can just about say that although almost afternoon
now where you are.

Haggling is part of the fun!

Only I did it in reverse last time I went to a table top sale.

A lady was asking 2 for a pair of brand new house slippers,
so I offered her 3 as I told her she was selling herself short.
When I got home I found they were too small....

Good morning El :) No great finds yesterday but I did find 10 pair of slacks for$1 a pair. They were just back from the cleaners. The cleaning must have cost them more than $1 :) I did buy a plumbers snake for $5, It was new and cost about $50. My friend did buy a great electric saws all. I told him to buy it so I could borrow it :) We go Thursday,Friday and Saturday and start at 7:00 AM. It is very important to be the first one there when they open. We have so many illegal aliens here and they swarm the sales and carry away arm loads. We always go to the very high end neighborhoods first. I pass out my business cards and look for listings. I give people an Ipad as a closing gift so people hang on to my cards and tell their friends. I am getting my wife interested in selling thing online. She need something to do that she will enjoy. I would take my wife with me but she would be so slow I couldn't hit enough sales :)

'Evening Grace, Denny, DW, Sir Tally and anyone else here

coming in a bit late this evening, have been busy today to keep
my mind off the fact one of our precious kitties went missing
overnight. One who loves his home life..so the mind went into
overtime, thinking nof all possibilities which could have happened
to him. A short time ago he appeared on the window-sill, right
as rain I am relieved to say, and very very hungry.
I can sleep tonight!

So enjoying the World Cup.

USA play Portugal tonight (GMT) unfortunately pass my bedtime
which is looming as I speak!...:)
Portugal will be going home if they lose this one I believe, however,
may the best team win and everybody stay safe.

I will just say Good Night then....

'Night!
