McNamara was a true genius and made huge profits for Ford automotive but he knew nothing of the military or war. He deduced how many bullets it took fired to kill how many enemy. He was also big on body counts and tied them to R&R. You want large numbers so they gave the bean counter large numbers. Bean counters don't make good strategist

<quoted text>True, decisions in the midst of conflict,,,it's like the armchair critics that have never faced conflict berating mistakes on the field..When I had a chat with Denny on his visit the little bit I did speak about was that engaging an enemy say three hundred metres away is a lot different to looking them straight in the eyes with cold steel at the end of your rifle,at three hundred metre you don't see the light go out their eyes...Plays on my mind a lot and no traumatic stress thing they have now..
On a happier note a lovely warm day here on the south coast, the smell of the sea on the breeze, fab day..
know the feel in a scope you look different ..... wasn't easy, can't forget

<quoted text> It is all about symbolism over substance. Tweets just make you feel good like you are actually doing something. This is a carefully staged performance by Michelle. As for Massive military intervention we nor England doesn't have a dog in that fight. The Nigerian government has that problem and they are doing nothing about protecting their citizens. Obama and Hillary refused to identify this group as terrorist. Move on .org a democrat group also was opposed to identify the group as terrorist before the kidnapping
An action of symbolism is an additional action. There is symbolism all over the U.S. political ma, and it's exploited profusely by all. There is symbolism in our individual pysches. It's a tie that binds. There is important symbolism in world geopolitics for much of the same reasons and prospects.

And it pertains to communication of those ties that bind.

It doesn't matter if the First Lady is an Obama, a Bush (both), a Clinton, a Reagan, a Kennedy ... etc. meaning the ones I didn't list.

I believe the term ........"Fog of war"
is depicting the difficulty of making decisions in the midst of conflict......
not to be confuse with a film same name
Eleven Lessons from the Life of Robert S. McNamara is a 2003 American documentary film about the life and times of former U.S. Secretary of Defense
I do believe
Yes, the film-maker chose the title for that very theme in McNamara's plea for understanding.

That very difficulty in decision-making at strategic, tactical, operational, and policy levels is boiled down to information available (or not) which includes intelligence, reconnaisance, and communication factors.

Nice when your pet behaves like that Grace, makes you kinda proud
of them...:)

It was good news today, I took our Joe, big soft thing that he is, as he
had been coughing....remember two had been diagnosed with Kennel
Cough a month ago, they are better now, well, different Vet, and he
believes it could be a lungworm infection only, I say only,
but at least it's curable. Other than that he had a clean bill of health,
heart, joint movement (he is about 14) and there wasn't a murmur out
of him when Jim gave him his injection.....

came back armed with 'Spot-On' for lungworm and etc. I'll have to
put them on bread and water at this rate. j/k

Called in Morrisons on the way home and got talked into sponsoring a dog
by Dog's Trust....I had been thinking seriously about rescuing one, not
the best idea really all I have on, so this is a cheaper option. Have sponsored
a Greyhound girl.
