Good morning all my friends. It rained all night and is rather cool out this morning. The lake is still down by 7 foot. It is funny to see the boat hoses with boats suspended over dry land and no way to get the out. It will be another year for them not being able to use their boats

Good Evening El,
True what you say, there will always be extremists
On both sides.
Lest their be any misunderstanding I meant by neutral,
'not fighting a war situation' but beyond that, of course,
we, like everyone else, in this country..
abhor the kidnapping of these girls and the burning down
of their schools ..
I know what Denny said about people objecting doing no good,
I see that differently, it's a honourable thing to be able to voice
an opinion and speak out loudly when we see wrong being done,
and many voices together make a public outcry eventually
and can have some effect, better than remaining silent (I think).
Difficult to see how this will unfold,
because the authorities say they have no
notion of releasing the people BOKO HARAM want.
Thanks Grace, and Good Afternoon.

'not fighting a war situation' and I quote.

That's all very well Grace, but let me ask you, are you happy with that?

I mean, supposing it is the only way to put a stop to this happening
again, would you yourself be happy to leave it to others. I know I
wouldn't.

Nobody can just sit back and wonder how it's going to pan out, something has
to be done, and credit to the Americans, they are sending in manned surveillance
planes.

Good Morning Denny. That was a very powerful poem above. Who wrote it, was it
a relative of the deceased? Very moving indeed.

Tell me about the rain. Sunday it never stopped all day long. And it was only 48F....
yet everywhere is blooming, we had sun yesterday, inbetween trying to fix my pc
I was out in the garden. It was lovely.

Good Morning Sir Tally...

and thankyou for the sweet Mother's Day wishes......most appreciated.

Loved hearing about the Lilac trees where you grew up. A lovely memory..
I expect the fragrance of them now brings back those memories.

I was brought up in a house with a walled garden, and the predominent feature
were pink rambling roses. Matter of fact, I took a clipping of that rose everywhere
I lived, and they took like they had always been there. I took rose cuttings
to the USA but Customs confiscated them!(: Understandably in retrospect.

PC wise.....as they say here in Wales....'don't talk'! Did a system restore but bad as ever.

How beautiful was that?! Loved this, thanks Grace. I had forgotten
how pure this lady's voice. Incredible how much alike are Ireland and Wales.

Very hard to know how to solve this one,
It's true, as you say.

Unfortunately, violence always breeds more violence,
We saw that so clearly with the invasion of Iraq..

And yet when ðealing with the likes of ABUBAKAR SHEAKU (the top man)
apparently of 'Boko Haram' terrorist group, it's very hard to make the
right decision, as we know, they want prisoner exchange..
and the other side realise if they release these madmen,
even worse will happen, if they don't the girls will
be sacrificed..
Hobson's choice!

Thanks re RUBY MURRAY song,
Yes, she was a part of the past.

BTW,
I can imagine Wales looking gorgeous in May..

remember when someone deported the Jews from a country .... and a famous world leader said I hold a piece of paper in their hand .."THEIR WILL BE NO WAR IN OUR TIME"

countries are like the police [except of the world] do we wait for the fire to burn the barn down and then put it out ???

It's just history repeating itself, don't you think so Grace?

All in the name of religion. So we can only hope for the best for
those kidnapped and all those like them.

I am far from a war monger, but would hate for nobody to do nothing.(grammar)!

Everywhere looks glorious here as I am sure it does in our sister country.
May is reaping the rewards of the April showers..and adding a few of her own.

Am off to the Vets tomorrow, I look forward to that run, although it takes up the
whole afternoon as they don't go by appointment, and it is always crowded.
Last time I went I was in there for hours, there was the dearest little boy who
was fascinated by the cats....he was also fascinated by door handles and kept on
locking the door, I noticed his mother said to him 'come over here, Mr. Jangles
will be here in a minute' and the child fled to her! One occasion I said it
myself to him and his little legs scampered off fast as they could carry him, lol,
hope Mr. Jangles was a good guy and not some kind of threat!

Anyway, will see lots of scenery en route...just going for a check up for two of the
babies!

You enjoying this weather Grace, and Ali??

El,
You'll laugh at this, when I mentioned WALES in my last post,
Just after that I went into the kitchen,
put the radio on, as usual...and did a double take when I heard a male voice
Say 'Were you thinking of Wales,
At first, I thought the house was haunted, Ha ha! But no, it was just an ad on radio
for various holidays !

We must be in sync, as, ALSO ..tomorrow afternoon,
I'll also be at the vets! have an appointment made for Ali's annual
Injections plus kennel cough treatment(she hates that one)
The minute I take her there, she KNOWS and wants to bolt!
won't come out from behind me, but of course, they are so highly
trained they are lovely to her and always manage to coax her out!

Yes, we're both enjoying this weather, cool enough but lovely
To look at..

'Mr Jangles'-

LADY EL..........

Day five of the Rochester Lilac Festival begins Tuesday, and as warm as it promises to be it might be the prefect day to see what they've got in store.

For you vino lovers, Tuesday begins the festival's Wine and Chocolate pairing. It's back for a second time this year.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, visitors can taste more than 150 vintages from more than 30 winemakers.

For only $15, wine will be "perfectly paired" with gourmet food, cheeses and of course, chocolate.

Also on tab for Tuesday, performances from Spencerport High School Jazz band, MoChester a Live classic album: Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon and much more.

Too bad the republican congress turned down numerous state dept requests for additional funding for security.
Although how does one secure a consular office from an RPG?
Too bad heavy weapons and Mortar fire was called a demonstration over a video for 2 weeks before the election. The woman in charge of State department funding testified under oath that funding had nothing to do with security request for the the consulate. That is a truth you don't like but what does truth matter to you

doesn't mean a thing , we only hope that the fear will prevail

the fear of the aftermath
