I'm disappointed!
Was babysitting tonight for my brand new baby G daughter!.
Everything was set up... I fed & changed her..
and amused her with toys.. made all sorts of funny faces and
noises I could think up! She responded.. smiled her
beautiful wide smile and 'talked' back!
'THEN'...... she started crying- AND CRYING - A N D CRYING...
I walked the floor with her, showed her herself in the mirror
walked her all around the apartment.. and when my back was
breaking I sat down with her! but when she saw us sitting down
the cute little lady upgraded the crying to near convulsions!
Only then I realised my babysitting days are over..
I could (and did) take it all in my stride ONCE
It's a kinda sobering thought when you suddenly realise 'your past it'
I only hope to live long enough to see her grow a bit..
And see her laugh .. when I tell her about 'tonight'
awww Grace, don't feel discouraged. takes time to build urself up to the challenge of a new baby.:)
when my first one was born, the first time I babysat was the same, only it was a few shorts years after my back operation and she was extremely heavy (built just like my husband, that hard, dense body type) and she too didn't want me to sit while I held her. cried and cried... and cried.
but by the twins were born, here again, another one built just like the first, but I was Now strong as an ox!
lol
bring it on baby!!
lol
u'll get use to it......

LADY EL/MADAME GRACE
cold as hell here .... a simple deep fryer has turned into a major overdo in kitchen... not matches now so new carts/canisters/cups/linens/ etc etc etc ...
but she is worth it
It is sad, very sad, he was an admirable person too. He is going to be missed tremendously.

Still cold there? Okay, are you going to share what colour this deep fryer is, I thought
they were all chrome? What colour scheme are you going for? Be interested to know,
no that I am nosey or anything!

In early and your SPORTS discussion with him-
You are a El:)
In the nicest of ways. Lol

Morning a Tally..
Yes indeed, very sad about Camilla's brother and unexpected..
Also what a tragic story today re the woman with the
3 special needs little children.. now deceased.
Everyone feels SO sorry for the family.
some people get a burden just TOO HARD to bear.
Good Day folks
Lovely weather here.
Could well be teething, you just don't know, touch of tummy ache maybe?

As you say Grace, Camilla's brother, and the awful news about the poor
family whose mother has been arrested suspected of their deaths.
How she must feel?
And how the father and remaining sibling must feel. It's just so sad.
Neighbours cannot speak too highly of this family.

I feel like I sold Man U out, lol..but you gotta do what you gotta do!

Just too nice to move, I am garden bound with some lunch outside, grab the
nice weather while we can.

Good morning Darlin. Always a pleasure to hear from you. My wife retired the fist of the month so I am getting used to her being home with me every day. Now my challenge is keeping her busy and active and interested in something. We are going to start working garage sales hard and selling things on Craigs list. I have always found amazing values at G sales but let them pass unless it was something I really wanted. Now I will buy regardless of need or size and only buy for value. I love to buy for 10 cents on the dollar :)

Dennis,
I was reading ur above post to El..
and I'd love if you could spare me some of the
'Stuff' you are on! sounds great:)
LOL dear Grace I am just high on life:) I do like meeting people. I talk to strangers all the time . I love finding out what they think! I can't believe people have such odd thoughts about what they think is fair and how government should work. I met a girl on a park bench and she said to me you don't have free health care in America and I told her no we don't and neither do you. With a high income tax and a vat tax and gas at about $9 a gallon your medical care is anything but free :) I am always surprised that people don't understand that governments have no money. Anything they give to one person they must take from another :) The problem is there is always less going out than is coming in. If a business did such a poor job of doing its work they would be out of business. The idea of making a profit in government never crossed their mind or rather being efficent enough to make a profit as if they were in business

Had to smile when you described the 'strong as an ox baby':)

They can be, my lady stuck out the little legs and stiffened her back
So I couldn't sit her on my knee:)

Like you say,
Spose I'm out of practice, like a marathon runner..
she is almost 3months old...

My other grandchild is .... wait for it >>>

23 years old!!!!

El and yourself -both your posts have been most helpful.
