It 's all too political for me,
And I still like John Kerry,
It seems to me that no matter WHO it is that becomes
President , he/she will be disliked by some people,
It is the way of things.
El,
Good info you gave about BRYAN CRANSTON and indeed,
It is interesting about the spelling of his name,
It is usually BRIAN around here- glad to know he has some Irish blood!
Be sure to get season 2soon as you can, it gets even better as it goes
And each episode is a thriller in it's own right.
I notice thru' it that Jesse has a very cultured speaking voice
perfect diction, even for the lout he plays, then in the story,
of course, he came from decent folks.
Dog 'met' baby for 1st time, it was amusing to watch,
My son led the dog (firmly held) over near the tiny chair baby lay in,
as baby kind of woke, stretched and made little baby sounds,
Ali's ears went up- head sideways with a look of dismay which translated
' Jeezes, what the hEll is that thing' ha ha!
then she turned away in fear
towards the door- wanting to escape!
would have so loved to have read her thoughts just then,
I imagine she was thinking>
' Odd it looks like one of those humans,
But I never knew they come in that size' LOL
'Afternoon Grace.
Lovely description of Ali and Baby meeting for the first time Grace,
can almost picture it in my mind's eye. The earlier they meet the better,
it will be good to hear how Ali takes to Baby in the coming months, years.
I 'looked up' the cast of Breaking Bad online....so interesting to know
their backgrounds. I wondered about the son as to whether it was pure acting,
apparently not, although he emphasises his complaint to fit the part,
wonderful acting, all round. Love Jesse.....love 'em all!
Am missing it...having withdrawal symptoms, hahaha
How far have you got now and is there a new series in the pipeline?

Customary to have toast with all you mention here...sausage etc.
Broiled (or as we would say - grilled) tomatoes sound good, until charred, yum.
Don't forget the mushrooms.

Well, I found out on this morning's news about the Great Lakes leak you were writing about last night.

Yeah, and please take care of the Asian Carp too!! And while you're at it, the zebra mussels.

You've got work to do, my friend!

Gracious good afternoon/evening, Kitchen-eers.

awww TY Luke for ur concern, but u know by now im a survivor, afterall im still posting on topix. lol
and ur right, its been a horrible winter, but for me, more so because of a health issue I've been dealing with for awhile now. but it did get the wheels turning for retirement, cause lifes short and getting shorter all the time, so we asked, what were we waiting for...?
im excited and scared at the same time about retiring, but I am determined to live out my fantasy .....
I can picture myself 5 yrs from now, on the beach with my big floppy hat, that nice deep tan and wrinkled prune body, lol, with a beer (or in my good girl story a soda instead) sitting and watching the ocean roll in and out and hubby and i talking about - nothing important.
and then one day, when I have the time, lol, I mosey on over to El's Kitchen and say - Howdy People - ain't life grand - its just another day in Paradise..
lol
:))
have a great weekend Guys and Bora Da!
"If you like pina coladas, and getting caught in the rain" ... I'm happy for ya and your hubs. Truly.:) Enjoy.

I remember reading, and being horrified, by the Triangle Shirtwaste Factory tragedy,
at least steps were taken to improve working and safety conditions. Plowing through
many of the other links. I really must keep an eye on PBS.

A vignette of life as it is. Anyone like country music, BTW?

This has Conway T(w)itty written all over it

Actually, part of his professional name is from this town based on the story in The Billboard Book of Number One Hits where Fred Bronson states that the singer [Harold Lloyd Jenkins] was looking at a road map when he spotted Conway, Arkansas, and Twitty, Texas, and chose the name Conway Twitty [wikipedia --Conway Twitty].

And oh ... the offending mom/family lives in Toad Suck, which is dry.

Sounds pretty.....you take care in those kind of weather conditions though.
We have yet to see any snow here, just the odd flake or so fell from the
Heavens....

Dioch yn fawr cariad ... verily !!

That child rescue was tremendous, but sadly I mistook that video shown on TV Wednesday to have been done Tuesday, which evokes hope for more rescue henceforth in these next days. I learned today that the video came from this past Saturday. the day of the mudslide. That does not bode well for more rescues.

Golden slumbers .... every one.
