I thought this was a fine example of Karma, if you believe in such.

During the steeplechase racing which has just ceased, four horses
tragically died.

A leading jockey made the remark "a horse is replaceable, a human
being is not"

The following day this jockey's mount threw him and broke the jockey's
arm.

Other horses ran amock and a few jockey's were injured.

Good morning El and all who come to the Kitchen. I have had a great day at garages sales. I drove up and as soon as I got out I saw a climbing tree stand. I ask the lady what she wanted for it and she said $35. I nearly broke my arm getting my money out. It is brand new and cost over $300. When my wife retires she is going with me on garage sales just for the exercise. I need to keep her busy and interested in life. She will sell our finds on Craigs list and ebay. I think we can make over $500 a weekend. I see things that have good value but don't buy them because they would just pile up in the garage. My friend ran into the best garage sale. They were getting a divorce and she sold her husbands rifles for $20 each :)

Good Morning Sir Tally......sounds nice but watch yourself underfoot.
One minute it's hail-stoning down here, the next sunny...doesn't
know what to do.
I quite liked Al Gore...but know little about him.

Good Morning Denny....it's a great hobby you have going there, lucrative too.
I must get to grips with ebay, I want to put my Toby Jugs on and also some
vintage dinner ware..loads of things.
Sounds like sweet revenge on the divorced lady's part?!
You won't believe what I did at a car-boot not long ago. The stall holder was selling
some brand new slippers, really nice ones, for 2 pounds. I said 'I will give you
3 for them', she couldn't believe it and I couldn't believe I had actually said it but
too late!..:)
Next stall, I picked up a box of brand new white gents hankies.....the lady said
'I bought them for a man friend but he died'..so I put them back and told her
I am not tempting providence. hahaha
The car boots start in Easter here.

to say very interesting our various likes

I really like John Kerry
(for some reason) think he'd make a great President,
and has a fab speaking voice..
If you notice..

If he doesn't make PRESIDENT
RADIO voice over might well snap him up:)

I do love the car boot sales. I was at one and I was taking pictures and someone asked me why I was taking pictures. They thought I was the tax man until they heard my Texas accent :) Davy Crockett looked over the walls of the Alamo and saw they were completely surrounded by Mexicans, he turned to Travis and said "Are we having a garage sale" 90% of the people there are Mexicans

Would never think of YOU as rude in a million years Grace.

Yeah, I like John Kerry too. Comes over as very genuine,
I would feel comfortable with him as President.

On another note, am seizing every opportunity to watch Breaking Bad,
there they were in last night's episode 'cooking' in the basement
not knowing that it was 'Open House' viewing ...hilarious.

Oh, and to answer my own question, NO, Bryan Cranston is not Welsh.
He is of Austrian, Irish and German descent!

Kerry will never have a chance to be President thank heaven. His military past and and anti war protest cling to him like a bad spell. Just like I will never forgive Jane Fonda for being a traitor. The draft dodgers have shaped the Democrat party. Clinton was a draft doger who got a draft notice and got out of serving. Can you believe after his impeachment and the shame he brought to the office he is such a popular Democrat. If the CEO of a company had done that he would have been fired. The idea of Obama's political career starting in the living room of a terrorist who planted bombs. What a crazy world

LOL @ the Davy Crockett joke!
I haven't been to a car boot for ages, one good thing about the weather here is,
the place is flooded with bored tourists in the holiday season when the weather is
inclement if that is the phrase...pizzing down in other words, lol...they are
looking for something to occupy their minds until the weather brightens up,
so books, jig saw puzzles, games for their kid's 'game boys' go liked there is
no tomorrow. I have so many books I no longer read it's untrue, just might
give it a go myself. P did it for me once but came back home with everything, he was
not a happy bunny...:)
