our oldest cat has come 'out of the closet' lol, it's ridiculous,
he is 17 and half and fancies his old friend Bailey who cannot
move without being pounced upon...needless to say I keep
them separate much as poss. Murphy Doodle is getting to be
a fine example of a Wolfhound.....70 lbs already, wow!

Eeeee GRACE....I was side-tracked, will explain in a pm, yet to

Good morning Miss El.
I came to your kitchen to ask for a bit of help. I have a box mix for spice cake. It calls for 2/3 cup of veg. oil. I'm out, and want to ask if I can substitute soft spread for the oil? If so how much? Thank you if you can reply.
Hoping all in your thread have a lovely day.

Good Morning Melody_E.....how very nice of you to drop by, hope it won't be
the last time too.
Let me see....check the soft spread wrapper as to whether it says 'suitable for
baking' and if so, I don't see why you shouldn't substitute it for oil.
Good Luck with that and please let me know how it turns out.
Wishing you in turn a lovely day....:)

sounds like hard work Sir Tally....not had the problem here this Winter, can
certainly do without the aftermath.

70 years indeed. How time flies. Will try to find Edward R. Murrow on the
web, not familiar. Rough guess, American War Correspondent.....

do hope your weather is improving by now...

Hello El! Unfortunately Snowmageddon continues for Tally and those in the mid-Atlantic states today. We've got the cold air, but thank God not the snow again, here in the midwest. This system is staying south, with the southern end of it producing severe thunderstorms and tornadoes. What a Winter this has been.
Y'all have had a nice high pressure system blocking several big lows from continuing y'alls Stormageddon, I've been watching.
I hope all is well with you and yours over there. I've been very busy with family matters and hospitals but so far that situation is hopeful. You've been in my thoughts.
