That is an amazing piece of information, hats off to Ruby Loftus and her like,
doubt if I myself wouldl have come close to achieving her expertise, but you
never know of what you are capable if the situation arises.

I don't even know where to start, da dead zone in the gulf, the lake associations here that tell you what your lake study has to say before they hire you, gotta keep the boat dock clean of weeds, then my deying coast and a way of life, the Houma are some of the most respected locals, sinewy, tough, fast with stamina I will watch that tory soon
on a lighter note, sign into fb and check this Cajun girl on her way to New Orleans on a "truck float", she will brighten your day

Luckily it was only a 53 second video. It only took between 10 to 15 minutes -- even in the FB environment, with all the buffering to get it loaded up so I could view/listen without the buffering.

A cold, cold Mardi Gras and colder yet on a truck float at speed.

Did you have your powdered-sugar donuts and Popeye's in celebration?

Good afternoon/evening Kitchen-eers!

Yah, with 1-2 years training she was as much of a master as the blokes with 8 or 9 years experience.

My mother (at 4'11" in stature) and her sister (about 2" shorter) were optimum size for war-time shipyard work in the Baltimore Maryland area.

I'm working through my box set of discs for Season 3 Game of Thrones.

House of Cards has garnered quite good buzz. Kevin Spacey is a fine actor.

The original Brit version some years ago with Ian Richardson was .... outstanding!

I agree, DW,

HOUSE OF CARDS was excellent,
And Robin Wright who plays SPACEY'S wife is excellent too..
A great cast... In all.

How does GAME OF THRONES compare, for example,
With HOUSE OF CARDS? For entertainment?

Thanks for sharing Cuz Luke. Your mother and aunt certainly did their bit towards
the war effort, as you say being the right size to work in confined spaces. I have
found, judging by similar practices within my own family, that those who were in
these situations or similar were all the stronger for it as adults. I am thinking
particularly of my own grandma now, who was employed sewing hats at the age
of 8, out of necessity. 4 ft 10" as an adult, she was my strength as a child.

Very much appreciated Sir Tally....

presently my PC 'proper' is resting, it is inundated with ads
and I have no idea how to get rid of them, my laptop has
been so slow it's untrue, I am using a notebook at the moment,
pristine and so far so good.
I have not taken kindly to Windows 8 I am afraid. Maybe just me.
