Thanks El. I will never retire as long as I have my health. I have been so lucky all my life to love my work! I enjoy getting out and meeting people and trying to help them sell their home and find a new one.

At last ... at last. Er, well there's a "winter event" forecast for Tuesday eve and/or Wednesday morn, after being 60F today with 65F predicted for Tuesday high temp.

Hi Denny...reading back I sounded a real pompous cow even to myself, lol..and
then remembered when I hired myself out as a telephonist, I nearly died when I
saw the telephone board, and spent the morning cutting everyone off, hahaha
I miss work, particularly when I was modelling, it was hard work (fashion) but I
loved it. I still have the heels I wore all day (5 and half inches) pointed toe,
museum pieces.
I would have absolutely loved to be in real estate, I love looking at houses and must
be an achievment to find the right one for people viewing.

A beautiful day here again, woke up to a heavy frost but the sun has
burst through, now then, did I hear right on the weather forecast this
morning...snow in Ireland?
Yes, I posted it again and it never appeared..
mysterious yes ..
Important -no.

I write them for my own entertainment and have won
Some prizes for them to boot,
So I'm fulfilled enuf in that:)
Just wanted to share, that's all.

Thank you dear El,
I won't waste anymore time on this subject..
If my poems aren't welcome, that's ok
with me..
You win some, you lose some LOL!
That's life.. As we all know.

Isn't it dreadful and mysterious about the missing
Plane?
Imagine living like that,
WAITING-HOPING against hope!
Heart rending to be sure.

I cannot stop thinking of THE BERMUDA TRIANGLE
and the strangeness that entails..

Sweet weather here today..
Great to see it and to live in the moment
And appreciate it as it happens.

Warmest regards to>>

'Afternoon Denny.....
I am assuming a replacement of two due to the company growing since your wife
started there?
"Two years training"....I cannot understand why it would require that length of time.
One time I had my own small secretarial agency and would hire myself out at
whatever was required....as I was versed in all aspects of secretarial duties.
I would start at a firm on the Monday morning and by the afternoon would be au
fait with the workings of the said firm.
I then took a position as Book-keeper to one of the largest engineering companies
in the North of England, the elderly gent I was replacing spent one week showing
me the ropes....then I was on my own.
One week.
I would not have expected longer than that, in fact I considered one week far too
generous.
This company is in several states in the liquor business and the laws are different in each state and each brand they carry has different systems of operation. She was there before computers when it was all done manually. She has operated in every part of the system and there is just no way to train someone or in this case it took two people to do what she did alone. Just keeping track of about 60 emails a day is a big job. Plus the 2 people that were hired don't get along very well. The one that will be in charge went to HR when she found out my wife was retiring and raised hell that she was told it would be 2 years before she was in charge. She demanded a raise and they gave her $140,000. She won't last 6 months and the other girl broke her foot and is in a wheelchair. She wants to work from home which can't happen . They are already talking about firing her. Then to make it a real screw up my wifes boss is quitting and the person replacing her doesn't know come here from sic'em. If they want my wife to come in and straighten out the mess it is really going to cost them :)

Thanks Denny...for the broader picture. What a great shame that your wife's position
cannot be filled by suitable candidates, not your wife's problem, she has done her 30
years and can leave with her head held high.
It will perhaps teach them not to try to cut corners, the two years was obviously
necessary.(I could have picked it up in one) lol j/k

So curious now to see this poem Grace! No, as you say,
you win some, you lose some. Can't please all of the people....etc etc.
Showing my ignorance, I am not familiar with the Bermuda Triangle....
but such a mystery about that plane, it would be wonderful if it turned out
that it had been high-jacked 'only' and the passengers and crew have survived.
But, not looking good.
Meant to tell you, going completely off subject, I did so enjoy the last episode
of MRS. BROWN'S BOYS...will miss that series and hope there is another in the
making.

Sup Cup?

A few days ago I saw this:

http://news.yahoo.com/plan-seeks-phosphorus-c...

I wondered. I remember the phosphate detergent bans the Great Lakes states passed though not impacting agriculture much (no surprise there), like:

2010 article:
http://www.environmentalleader.com/2010/06/29...
includes Michigan and Indiana

2012 article:
http://www.cga.ct.gov/2012/rpt/2012-R-0076.ht...
"At least 11 states ban phosphorus fertilizer use or sale: Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.

In general, these states prohibit phosphorus fertilizer application unless it is for (1) curing a lack of necessary phosphorus,(2) establishing new turf, or (3) repairing turf. Many states exempt agricultural lands and production, commercial or sod farms, gardening, or golf courses from the ban. And many prohibit applying fertilizer (not only phosphorus fertilizer) on impervious, frozen, or saturated surfaces, or within a certain distance of a water body. Inadvertent application on impervious surfaces must be removed or cleaned up. Some states also have phosphorus fertilizer sale restrictions such as separately displaying phosphorus fertilizer and posting cautionary information."

"Florida law requires certain counties and municipalities located in nutrient-impaired watersheds to adopt the state's model ordinance for any fertilizer use in urban landscapes and may adopt more stringent standards if certain conditions are met. "

What's your insight on this?

Yep, a skit with an actor known by young folk. It was a 'sell' of the Affordable Health Care Act.

Humble is not a word I often use, in fact I felt more dreadful than anything, having
voiced my views, and THEN 'meeting' this amazing coach....I immediately compared
to how I would feel if it were Sir Alex Ferguson.....tends to put everything in perspective.
I don't suppose I am alone in having witnessed Alhziemer's victims in the final stages,
where 'while there is life' does not apply....I was referring to that stage.
I heard about the blood test in the pipe-line....far more accurate one would hope than
supermarket assistants being trained to 'look out' for possible early stages in their
customers, in my opinion it could lead to interpretation, a word said wrongly here,
a word there, leaving one's card in the machine and floating off as I am in the habit of
doing.....
Talk about Big Brother.....
Aye, I understand that yourself, Grace and likely some others here have known that phase in your close circles.

To date, I have not directly with my close circle.
