Quite a lot of damage incurred but no person hurt in this region
that I am aware.....the winds reached 108 mph last night, it
was horrific!
Looking at the weather map on the news this morning, Ireland is badly affected and it would appear the whole of Ireland is without power.
Just to say thinking of you GRACE and wishing you and ALL here a very
Good Morning and a safe day.
'Morning Sir Tally, Deer Whisperer, Denny, LIM, All the Kitcheneers....
Yes indeed El,

Thanks for your caring...

It was a night to remember, I
see where England, Ireland, Wales got an
equal batterings.

LOTS of trees down and I figure the reason for that
is with all the rain that has been falling for weeks,
the roots became sodden and so they loosened...
and fell easily.

I have the good fortune of living high up
which helps when it comes to flooding.

Some of the scenes of the UK I've seen on SKY
would actually frighten one, the stress and strain
these families have fallen under..

Anyway the thing is that both YOU & I ARE
STILL HERE TO TELL THE TALE:)

We can hardly hold Tally responsible for what goes on behind the scenes, you don't
know his feeling now in retrospect, he was barely out of his teens when he was
conscripted, as was my late uncle who in his dotage 'opened up' and spoke about his regret
at what happened at Hiroshima...he being part of the naval crew in the thick of it.
They did what they were told to do.
There were exceptions, granted, but few and far between.
Now please don't patronise me with adding (((hugs))) onto a serious matter such as
this.
It may surprise you to know I was in your country at the time of the war against
Vietnam....friends were drafted.....
My hero then, and now, was Bob Dylan...does that say anything to you?
he was the ones behind the seen, cia then and now, glorifying his atrocities and calming oppression by Nazis, I am a Jeffersonian, we don't tolerate tyranny, don't know if you realize it or not but this country is in the throws of a revolution

Good to see Ireland & Wales in the participants list this day and not being blown away. From there and parts of U.S., I guess you could say --

you will have to look at it and find Lee county, under Sumter by Terrell, That is where Skipper lived ,
just a little TidBiT , I live in Lee County Alabama,
I see what you mean by odd sounding names. The map is Heaven sent to a
genealogist, thanks so much for providing that, I found where Skip lived, and
also Carrollton, where MO4 lived. Never knew just where Monroe County was
positioned until now.
Lee County Alabama....named after Robert E. Lee......what an amazing man.....
Interesting how Lee County was formed.

How COULD I have forgotten that Cuz Luke....OF course, Joni Mitchell....where is my
mind at times?
I do wish I had seen that programme which you mention. BBC2 ran a series named
'Arena', they covered a documentary about The Chelsea, I knew many of the folk
depicted. If I remember correctly, George Kleisenger who wrote "Rudolph The Red
Nosed Reindeer' if I am not mistaken,(will check) was in this programme, in his
apartment in which he had trees in pots, a monkey and various reptiles, it was
amazing, in the midst of it all, his baby grand piano. Very much the gentleman,
we had coffee......
I missed the Beatles tribute, nice to know about that happening, I believe Paul and
Ringo sang together...
"oh I believe in yesterday....."
Unknown to me while posting last evening, that Beatles telecast was repeated by the network. Must have been some massive input to have them do that "at the last minute" meaning there was no on-air promotion about doing that in the offerings between Sunday night and Wednesday eve. I did see the last hour of it yet again including where the lads performed together.

Hmm, thanks for the info about Arena. Write-up on Wikipedia, long-running series.

Without context of "knowing" about the Hotel Chelsea later on, "Chelsea Morning" was just another pretty song, whether Judy Collins cover single or Joni's recording.

" [we] get by with a little help from our friends ..."

Lots of trees down here too Grace, lorries overturned on the motorways
and bridges, just glad it's over. More to come unfortunately but forewarned is
forearmed.
Glad to see you are alright, but not a night we could easily forget, I was up at 6
to check the damage, not as bad as I anticipated....:)

I am sure after all this time you will appreciate that I do not
condone glorifying any war.
I wasn't sure what being a Jeffersonian meant, so made a point of searching for
some answers.

gone over to Agave, have you come across that?
Good afternoon El! It's a positively balmy 28F here right now, on it's way up to a heavenly 35F for the high today and I couldn't be happier! See what a little 'conditioning' will do? lol
We use Agave nectar as a sweetener, too. Which reminds me, I need to research it a little. Thought I read a snippet of something detrimental6 about it the other day, I'll let you know if I come across anything noteworthy.
Hope all is well over there, I see wild weather continues to come in from the west, over and over.
