Thank You for that - he is a class act. We are very fortunate to have him and his fans from all over the US. People cheered for the Broncos just because of Peyton.

Of course I had to watch the Budweiser commercial with the puppy and horse and cry all over again. Love that commercial.

'Morning Denny. A good time to see far away places, hope he enjoys his visit.
I do hope the class are taken to places of interest too, other than just the

He is, Cuz El, he's a winner. I hope someone does the right thing and steps up and returns his gear. I've not seen any update to that.
See a bit on BBC News for America early January after the mugging happened.
Tea ... Earl Grey ... hot![please]
Good morning/afternoon, Kitchen-eers in the space-time continuum.
First time I was aware of Jamie McDonald and his run across Canada, was this
morning on Sky News. It really touched me what he had been through.
Not the choicest time for me to quote his cries of 'who's the daddy' as he crossed
the proverbial 'finishing line' but I know it would not be mis-interpreted. lol
His gear was returned and generally the Canadian public were more than charitable.

My account goes back to about 2001-2, and not frequented on a regular basis either. Yes, I appreciate the causes they endorse.
Did you have any American commercials on your recording? Or, are those spots filled with U.K, Ireland, and continent adverts? Just curious if you had the opportunity to get some "flavor" of the special emphasis for Super Bowl advertisements for this event.
Are Man U and Man City both in the Premier League?
Just checked to make doubly sure...but no, just British commercials inbetween play.
Shame that.
In answer, both teams are still in the Premier League, Man City is 2nd and Man U
7th. It is the first time in 26 years that United have not been in the top 4.
Still, it isn't over until the fat lady sings, as they say....:)

I'm glad you posted that, thank you. It doesn't surprise me, his home was on the northside of Indy here off N. Meridian St. Many chance encounters around here, a couple in person and others heard about from folks around here reveal the same down to earth, unassuming guy. I've heard wait-staff report that he refused to be put ahead of the waiting list for seating at a local restaurant, joking around with folks in line at the gas station, and holding doors open for elderly folks...calling folks 'sir' and 'ma'am'. This town loves him for reasons beyond football. He's also a king of the come-back; barring injury, we'll see him at that big game again.
A short trip out to the store for me, need a few things here before this latest round of snow.
You may see some icing down there, I pray your power will stay up.

What an inspiring man! Hubby and I just read and watched. Then we checked his facebook page and 15 hours ago he reported this;

"I did it - I reached the Pacific, 200 marathons later. The finish, but certainly not the end. Anyone can be a super hero."

Thank you for sharing!

That one was loved by many; polled "best". Most Budweiser ads are; Clydesdales or no. OH! And the one of the vet homecoming ... filmed a real one, you know. The couple were in the stands Sunday evening.

While I did not see all of the SB commercials, I saw most. Several were "leaked" to media sources prior to game day, so I saw some parts of those missed on Sunday evening.

What a great link...t/y...I watched 'Puppy Love', the Budweiser advert spoken of earlier,
also the 'home coming' which DW mentions above, enjoyed those greatly, also
watched the Dorito ad which I enjoyed too. What fantastic commercials over the pond!

Tea & biscuits enjoyed immensely. Somewhere on Youtube and/or, probably, Animal Planet you can enjoy:

Yes, folks are getting snow-silly over here! LOL!
A school principle in Kentucky (the state just south of mine) decided to get creative in announcing yet ANOTHER snow day for the kids. This recording is what parents heard last night when the automated system called them announcing the closing. Hilarious!

YW, I'm glad you enjoyed them! I gotta get out to the store, it's already started snowing. Hubby and I just found a million things to do before we left.
Have a great evening!

yerGrace, top o'the mornin' to ye! Correct,#32699 is not displayed. I think it's true that I didn't see a reply from you about Coen brothers movies, but me brain is fallible!:)

Here are my experiences:

1. I have used the word 'k....i....c .....k" as normally written with a result of that post being withheld. Others have had the same result for that word. Others seem to be able to use that word just fine.

2. Seems that sometimes links that I use in a post are not liked by topix, and not displayed.

That's all the "light" I have for ya!

Good evening/morning Kitchen-eers.

Snow is done and plowed as appropriate. Colder temps for a day or two now. SSDD.

Thank you DW your post MOST appreciated..

Me too.. dono' what glitches are in the system,
only one can get into trouble too!

Some might think
'I sent GN good wishes on new grandchild
and she never even bothered to replied'
when in fact I MADE SURE to reply,
out of gratitude... not to mention good manners.

but then Topix is Topix
Id prefer to think that than think there is something more
sinister at work here.

Buenas Dias! Y'All! Gracie....Congratulations! I'm putting money on my 7 year old to produce Grandchildren. You have such luck. Here in Tennessee they keep closing schools due to snow. We had the highest accumulation of 1/8" this year but it melted off in a couple of hours. Everyone blows off work also but they are able to drive to the supermarket to buy bread and milk....? In an emergency.....I buy vodka!

Please don't worry about it Grace, like you said in a post earlier,
words to the effect as to how we get to know each other merely by writing,
I think I can speak for all in this Kitchen when I say, nobody would ever
accuse you of being bad mannered.

It's very weird your posts didn't show, but no real harm done and glad you drew it
to our attention as to be honest, I wondered if I had offended you in some way.
Purely because you are a very welcome regular here and all of a sudden, you
was not.

I expect we only know if our posts appear by being answered then.........

Catching up this morning, came on here yesterday a few times only to lose
power intermittently throughout the day.

Hope you had a wonderful visit to mother and child......:)
