So late getting here today, well, I did look in earlier, after all
I am not going to Grace's news....but am committed to doing
some research for a FHS (Family History Society) so a trip
down to the Archives this afternoon, luckily I found what I
was looking for.
Occasionally I do this when extra funds are needed, I have an older
cat needing surgery......
Watched the 'Red Carpet' this evening as the Grammys are not
shown here until tomorrow night. Some cool dudes on that carpet
lol. Good to see all the various Gendres represented, I look
forward to seeing Ringo and Paul perform together...although would
have liked to hear them sing a 'Beatles' number. 50 years eh?
Amazing.
We are expecting a cold snap mid-week onwards.....
Hoping to fit in a visit to the gardens at Chirk Castle sometime soon
they have a wonderful display of Snowdrops.
Will bid you all Good Night and enjoy the rest of your evening.

LOL, Good morning, Franko ... Aw, you're alright in my book I don't care what anybody around here says about you, haha J/K J/K *wink*... looks don't matter ...it's what's inside your Heart and Soul that matters ... I taught my niece to play that on the piano, both parts ... My S-I-L silently (with her hands) thanked me ... I'll never forget that day ... My niece was so excited ...
Today, I'll have a facial at 1445 and take in a movie, LONE SURVIVOR afterwards ... will do HEP (home exercise program) when I return home ...

You say Ringo can't sing? I have been listening to Mick Jagger for 50 years and have no clue what his lyrics are! Kris Kristophersonn? was being interviewed about being a famous singer and Kris replied, "Singer!?" "Hell I can't sing!" "I'm a writer!" I went to my basement years ago and tried singing while playing my banjo. My wife called the ambulance.

Here in the Nashville area we had a lot of mortalities because of the H1N1? Bird Flu. Take care of yourself.

You can't understand Mick Jagger's lyrics? What's the matter with you MH?....lol

J/K

Kris K is quite right though in what he says, he is primarily a song-writer...and an actor,
one of the best.

See Pete Seager died, grand old age.

Never said a thing....(tapping side of nose and crossing fingers behind back)

Got that about the temp conversions Franko.....t/y.....

I can convert easily enough from C to F......it is in reverse I come unstuck.

Funny thing, we are all complaining about having to go 'European', yet the
other day I fiddled with the display on the dashboard of the car and unintentially
changed the reading to that of Farenheit. I was lost, I am now thinking in
Centigrade.....P changed it back.

An old Southern remedy:

1. Boil a pan of water.

2. Drop Vick's Vapor Rub into the pan.

3. When the pan is simmering, breathe the vapors off the pan.

4. If this doesn't open you up.....eat some boiled shrimp with a bunch of red pepper seeds and Red Hot Louisiana Sauce.

5. A big cup of coffee, honey, and vodka to follow!

6. If this doesn't cure your congestion....Why the f++k care anymore?

Did you enjoy the movie Flower? It's one I hope to see myself on
the big screen, there are one or two misrepresentations in it
apparently, unfortunately I forget what they are. lol
Rather miffed this evening as it looks like I have missed The Grammys,
I understood it was on tonight but cannot find.

Glad you enjoyed the read about BRENDAN O' CARROLL.
YES, very clever too, as you say, he is a member of MENSA.
Who woulds have thought, when watching MRS BROWNE:)
We don't hear much about SCHUMACKER now,
I sense the outlook isn't good,
such a sad turn of events.
Cold here, in fact VERY COLD.
Greetings of the day to one & all.
Hello and stay warm Grace ... still cold here.

According to The Mail, there is concern for him.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-25473...

"Fears are growing that Michael Schumacher could remain in a 'persistent vegetative state' for the rest of his life even if he wakes up from his coma."

Awaiting good news from you :)

Gracious! I only seems like 20 years ...

It was twenty years ago today
That Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play
They've been going in and out of style
But they're guaranteed to raise a smile
So may I introduce to you
The act you've known for all these years
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

I hope your research is going smoothly and you do get to Chirk someday soon.

A wonderful article of which I had no knowledge until, mostly aptly, this evening.
Thanks to you {{{Cuz Luke}}}.......

I take the liberty of copying a para from the article..

"The song proudly proclaims Ry'n ni yma o hyd, er gwaetha pawb a phopeth which translates as "We're still here, in spite of everyone and everything." It relates to the continuing survival of the Welsh people and their language "until Judgement Day" - a reference to a famous conversation recorded by Gerald of Wales between King Henry II of England and an elderly Welshman during one of his campaigns in the 12th century. Of the continued survival of the Welsh language the old man tells the king;"

we in Canada spent most of my life converting to metric .... most people I know (over age 50) still understand miles per hour better than KMH despite our speed limit signs having been in Kilometers an hour fro 20 years now . We still describe our height in feet and inches. We buy gas by the litre but still thnk in terms of miles per gallon when thinking of fuel efficiency.(due to USA commercials for cars still using that). Europeans go by liters per 100 KM ... no one here can comprehend what that means....

SO, this has been a long, slow and painfull transiiton

It is relatively easy to compare C an F TEmPERATURES ABOVE FREEzIGN, SINCE WE HEAR THOSE TEMPS DAILY. iT IS THE BELOW FREEzING THAT IS LESS COMMON AND THEReFORE HARDER TO PICtURE.

Did you know that there is a temperature where F and C are the same number???

I will let you guess before I give the answer ...
