Lol
Funny the bit about oyster and clams!

I must say I hate the whole lobster scene,
How they are crammed into those water talks
And then how they end up in boiling water..
As I said before aid rather eat a crust of stale bread
If there was no other choice
Than be involved in any of that.

Have a good wk end LIM
Wintery here again-
How's your weather?

Yeah, I feel the same way about Oysters ...and Lobsters, Grace,
for the same reason.
Although will admit to eating, and enjoying fish otherwise.
In fact, having learnt what I have recently about how silk is obtained,
which is by not allowing the silk worm to develop after spinning his cocoon,
as by doing so it would 'flaw' the coocon, he is thrown into vats of
boiling water.
There is an alternative which is cruelty free, and that is Peace Silk.

That looks seriously nasty weather on the horizon.....take care.

Speaking of fish, I had the nicest fish I've had in a long time last
night, Oak Smoked Haddock, hand filleted according to the packaging,
line caught in the North East Pacific.
It was so nice I didn't smother it in sauce, just a squirt of lemon juice
and butter.
I don't eat red meat but do enjoy fish.

Some good fishing on the doorstep here LIM.

In fact, we have a fish here which is peculiar to this region only,
called the Arctic Gar if I am not mistaken. Probably been here
since the Ice Age.

What is so different to any other lifestyle?
Independence, self reliance, isolation, unique language to name a few

hunters, trappers, fisherman including shrimp, oyster, crawfish and allagator

started from a band of french outcasts that were run to sea in Acadia Canada, horseback riders rode ahead to have landings block their arrival until they crossed the mouth of the Mississippi River.

their homes were on stilts over water(most still are), it became their way of life, they let you chose where they will be your best friend or worse enemy

I can think of nothing else these days
praying that all will be well for mother & child -
'nothing else' matters.
