Well.
The relative of the wider family circle I wrote about here a few days ago,
passed away peacefully in the early hours of today,
it was a merciful release.
****
I can't figure this out, in the past fortnight we have had
5 violent deaths here the latest being last night,
a man [40] was found beaten and stabbed to death
in his home by an Italian man [it is reported]
They say the violence is being traced back to the dead
man who *allegedly* cheated in a chess game!!!!!
WHAT?!
Another thing, in times gone by it used to be, if
guys had an argument , one might go home
with a 'black eye' that was quite common, now
unheard of, it's either being kicked or stabbed to death!
Wondering why the change to such wanton violence.
Condolences for your family's loss Grace.

Thanks, but no ... It's not necessary. I will strive for clarity as well.

1. Aye, your disappointments are yours to work with/through ... as are mine for me.

2. Per se and "stand-alone" your post I already referenced did not matter to me much, nor did Brigitte's here as it was written. Leaving out the churlishness of each would have been fine too. I think that posting yours after a public chastising of Brigitte for hers was double standard-ish.

3. For me, what's started in public stays in public for resolution What dialog is started privately stays private. Another option is don't start nothin'.

4. I won't privately discuss matters where it's been shown that private discussions are divulged publicly.

See you when I see you then. Coffee is on the go.......
Cuz El, the Rose Parade -- formally called the Tournament of Roses -- is a long-time New Year's Day tradition in Pasadena, California. It's fascinating the see the fruits of all the preparation and work (which nearly takes a year) to make ready for the Parade. Broadcast world 'round either live or "taped"-delay.

At least they passed quietly. The stabbing death is terrible. I always carry a gun for that very reason. I doubt I will ever need it but you never know what thugs will do

Last week it was Ireland. Last evening before bed, I tripped to north Wales and Liverpool on the color TV. This is a transcript of the Rick Steves program to scan and hit the highlights:
http://www.ricksteves.com/tvr/northwalesrse40...
Sunday included a meal date with my daughters in my proximity and their husband and boyfriend mates.
The one that got married in September sprang the news of her newly-discovered pregnancy on me. A different twig of my branch of the family tree is in play this time.
I loved the link Cuz Luke. It absolutely sums up this corner of the world, I also
indulged in a few clips on youtube of clips from the tv programme, fascinating
in a word. I should love to see this programme, which channel airs it could you
tell me pls. It's a strange thing, I felt almost proud seeing all these places which
are so well known to me now....the short clip covering Caernarfon Castle is
particularly interesting.....as you will know it is where HRH Prince Charles was
crowned Prince of Wales by his mother, HRH Queen Elizabeth 11.
Thereby hangs a tale....a local man vilified the flag and was arrested.....my neighbours!
Your Sunday sounds great, and a new arrival on the way.....it's what makes the world
go round! Wonderful news Luke, nothing like family.

Oh I see. I didn't realise it was on New Year's Day, yes, it would be taped.
To have such an abudance of flowers...it must be quite a sight. I see there
is a concern about rain in Calif presently, the weather has gone mad globally.

Good Morning/Afternoon to everyone here.....

most peculiar happenings on offbeat lately, I could
not get 'into' the Kitchen last night, much as I tried,
further, I cannot judge any posts? Just occasionely
I am tempted to do just that.

Grace.....a sad time in your extended family, my condolences
are with you, much as it was a blessing. At the very least the
deceased is spared further suffering.

Time is moving forward to a happier day!....:)(new babby)

Greetings to Flower, PFfff, Princess Hey, Franko, MH, Krypteia
and...has anybody seen Tony?

Ah but, the deer love this time of year, lol.

Denny, I watched the Golden Globes and saw that Breaking Bad got awards,
would you believe I haven't started to watch the first series box set yet.
I really must.
We have a few more series coming from America, one is Brooklyn 911, have you seen
it at all.
And at the risk of this being all about telly, it was the last in the series of Boardwalk
last Saturday. Great fight scene! and how touching an ending.

You be havin' some rowdy neighbors.:)

Family: right as rain, m'lass! As you would know it, last evening Rick Steves European Travels dallied in Edinburgh. I'm not making this up! You've a bro in Scotland, no?!

https://www.ricksteves.com/tvr/edinburghrse40...

Figured using the transcripts would help decide if finding videos be worthwhile to you folks.

Rick Steves is on the regular PBS network on about a weekly basis. I've been viewing nightly (mostly), however, on a PBS-associated channel called Create TV:

but ... but .... I'm WANTING season 3 of Game of Thrones to be released on DVD! I'm tired of waiting. Season 4 is soon to begin on broadcast schedule. I did get season 3 of Boardwalk Empire, and done and dusted with that one.

whether or not:
Today is a chilly and breezy mid-20s F. Yesterday was somewhat better; sunny. Monday was a balmy 50F with sun latter half of the day. That was 65 degrees warmer than the previous Monday.

I've a magic trick for ya!
