Whatever has happened to the Christmas Spirit? I am sure
we all came here today in good moods.....then it all went
downhill from here.
I don't care to address an old friend in the manner I spoke to
Sir Tally....just not me. Can we all change the mood and move
on, it isn't pleasant lately in the Kitchen.
Absolutely behind with everything today, we had no lights, electricians
have been here all afternoon.....that has been fixed now.
So will catch up with y'all on the morrow.

lol! Hi Beats ... good one. The Batman I know didn't have X-ray vision. Could be a Snickers candy bar?

"I am Batman" comes from an American TV commercial for Snickers years ago.

No, I am not Betty White [nothing against Betty -- she's a national comedic treasure]

"Silver bells, silver bells

Soon it will be Christmas Day.

What that behind you, with power restored, tomorrow is another day!

A U.S.-based reporter for one of our American networks reported that other theatres in the West End were inspected today, some patrons of Apollo reported water dripping from the ceiling, and that yesterday London got 4 days worth of rain yesterday.

Golden slumbers for a well-deserved re-charge.

lots on the news this morning about the murderers who killed Drummer Lee Rigby
in broad daylight on a London street. The guilty pair have been found guilty, not
surprisingly, not yet been sentenced. But this morning one of their brothers,
a vey articulate man, spoke about the Muslims in this country who condemn this
attack, saying, they may condemn it, but none of them are in agreement with
'foreigners' being in Iraq, Afghanistan.
why are foreigners in Afghanistan anyhow?

Iraq, of course, has trillions of dollars worth of oil ... I wonder if they appreciate that foreigners showed them how to find and harvest it make make their billions per year off it?

Personally, I feel if we are to watch every comma, every full stop (period) capital letters and the odd spelling mistakes.....we lose the flow of what we wish to put over in our conversations.
By thinking twice about it, detracts from what we intended to say.
I think we can be too correct.

OMG!
I had all set to get up very early today
so I could go to the huge shopping mall near me,
[one or two things I need]
planning to get there
BEFORE the crowds arrive, as, sometimes,
it's like a stampede over there!
anyway I did the exact opposite slept through
everything, alarm bells, the lot only to wake at
9:30am!!!!
I remember last evening sitting in the kitchen
just wondering HOW I'd make dinner, as I had
ZERO energy, amazing how our bodies take over
and look after us, pitching Christmas and
other plans aside:)
and paying attention to the necessary things.
I'd been on a very strong antibiotic and I often
think, in such cases, if we could only observe the battle
going on inside us in this other world,
we would be amazed.
Anyway, I feel good now and will rearrange the day.
one thing I have learned over the years is that
no matter what tizzy folks get into, and some indeed,
lose the run of themselves,
Christmas comes and goes and fades and we all
ease back to normality..
[says Grace, stating the obvious LOL]
but sometimes it's good to just name it.
Happy day ALL here.
YOu reminded me of a movie I saw about 12 years ago, called Ozmosis Jones...

The movie pretty much shows in animation what you described ... and it crosses over and has some life actors as well ...

Bil Murray gets sick, some form of Ebola virus ... and the story is about how his antibodies and a cold pill help to fight off the virus.

It is funny and even a bit educational .... I recommend anyone watch it if they can.

Grace wrote about Medela
bet pff didn't even read it
if I were picky you left out half the North America.. because the buffalo roamed from Mexico -Canada as well
I will say I'm sorry that you are offended
the point was a simple one Tally ... no need to nit pick over tiny infractoins that ALL of us make .. you made several in this above post for example ...
...
Let's enjoy the discusions we have, let's ignore the ones that don't interest us but might interest other poeple .... let's avoid one-upping each other on "who's right" . its not really that important ...

It really helps us all get along better.

I wasn't being picky actually thought funny.....
because you had more mistakes in that post besides AWAIT
Paul Harvey side of the story
COPS/FUNNY VIDEOS etc etc....
a 10 minute dash cam from a Maine state trooper
stopped an old man for speeding [see footnote]
wrote him a ticket all the time the old man is ranting & raving [clearly heard on dash cam] he gives the ticket to be signed , old man is so upset at the $175 his camper truck is shaking .... he , the old man rips ticket ...
the State Trooper [cool as the other side of a satin pillow]
instructs the speeder ...to pick the litter up as here-enters his truck... the State Trooper says: DON'T FORGET THAT ONE....
now thinking you are smarter than google if you saw
await maybe you saw heard & storeis that was also in the very same post .... continued
somehow your point did not come across, in your original post, as pointing out something funny .. it came across as nit picky ... several people apparently saw it the same way I did.

Before I left for work yesterday (Thursday) they broke in with the sad story about the Apollo theater in London. My heart goes out to the deceased and their families during this difficult time. May their faith helps them to get through this time of loss. I also stopped by to wish everyone a happeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee FRYday! El, I hope you got the Christmas card I mailed to you a few weeks ago? Our new fur baby will arrive on the 30th of DEC. He is already over 20 pounds at 7 weeks. His daddy is 177 pounds and his mommy 155 pounds. I have a feeling we will have tro build some bedrooms on the roof, since there not be any room for much of anything else once he reaches his full height capacity. Going out to run a few errandes.
were there deaths? I had not heard any reported yet, although 79 were injured and about a dozen seriously.

Apparently a extremely heavy rainfull caused it ...

They say that Cristmas is the most stressful holiday because of all the shopping and visiting, heavier traffic, busier shopping malls, etc added to all the normal stresses of life ...

SO perhaps it got the better of us all?

I agree with you, let;s let bygones be bygones ...
