is it still morning there El? I'm too cold to calculate
Good marrow should cover it I think
Good marrow is ideal...just gone tea-time by now, the
day has flown as usual. I as surprised to see how cold
the temps in the Southern States, we always have the impression
it is warm there.

I loved the link btw.....'it's all in the bag' a great piper.

It is considered a lucky omen to have rain on a day such as yesterday in South Africa...a Blessing.

Hi Franko - yes indeed - although with the rubbish the England cricket team is producing in Oz, I may end up with a relapse!!
Like you, I've been having a holiday from topix.
well then the solution is to not take the cricket so seriously!!! LOL!!

Glad to see you are back to work ... I find one appreciates work mroe when one has been forced into idleness for an extended period .. would yuo agree?

Hi GN - missed the service sadly - trying to sort out the mess our tenants left when they did a runner at the weekend. So won't be appearing here too often for a bit - cleaning, scrubbing and decorating are the order of the day.
Cannot believe I heard this for the first time today when Jim Croce released it in 1973 - displacing the Pogues and Kirstie MacColl as my favourite Xmas song of the minute:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =Sxvd8NEd_C8XX
Very sorry to hear that happened to you,
and you had to go to all that trouble,
cleaning/scrubbing -
AS IF you hadn't more than enough
to contend with in the year..
but the main.. and wonderful thing is
YOU MADE IT BACK TO US..
and socked that cancer in the jaw!

We are ALL so very proud of you here..
and Christmas is the ideal time to tell you this.

Good luck n' health in future days.

Good evening/morning Kitchen-eers! Cheers for the return of Tony and franko.

When on an outing in the wild, take a lighter, make a fire/burn a spare tire if you must, and heat rocks. Plus all the other survival musts; i.e., water, food items, etc.

They were not in a cell phone service area, either.

2 adults and 4 children saved without any frost-bite after turning their Jeep over in the wilds of Nevada:

Wednesday is the 197th anniversary of Indiana statehood in this young country.

Heard much of an interview with the actor Micheal Shean. Has star role in "Masters of Sex" on U.S. Showtime network which is a biopic of sex researchers Masters and Johnson. Learned that he has played Tony Blair three times, David Frost in the movie "Nixon/Frost", and a football manager who took over Leeds United some years back.

The bloke is from Port Talbot.

Bora, bora, bora!

I highly recommend wilsons cell boosters, if you live rural you may never loose signal again not to mention speed for data for smart phones, they push you up to 3 watts, just like the old bag phones

Good advice there Luke, you just never know when that would
come in very useful as it obviously did with the family you
mention.

Martin Sheen's portrayal of the late Brian Clough was nothing
short of awesome, aye, some good actors have come out of this
little Principality..Wales...in fact, I was hard pushed to recognise Anthony Hopkins in 'Pearl Harbour' the other night,
excellent performance.

Bora Da!

'Morning All...

brrrr...and fog....but still no snow...(:

Have a trip to town planned today, dropping
some stuff off at the charity shop, some of
my brass collection, a number of succulents
I have potted up, books etc. First visit to
this particular charity shop where they help
support shelters for rescued greyhounds,
so all in a good cause. I divide my loyalties,
there is an excellent shop locally supporting
kids in India, today though it's the greyhound's
turn.

Enough about my day....:) Have a good one.

also interesting how a fake signer was with all of the world leader ....... also noted how Obama and the Dutch leader were in a selfie and how Michelle Obama
was aloft and not amused..........

****NEWS FLASH**** Michelle Obama gave Obama his toast slightly burnt ,,saying what is wrong "were you expecting a little Danish this morning?"

first light.

amazed nobody noticed that poor fellow was giving the same hand signals over and over. It is now claimed he had suffered a schizophrenic attack that he is normally quite competent with the sign language. All credit to him for standing his ground...:)

had no idea about the selfie....
