"think about it, from what we are to believe, as far back as the Romans - their lifestyle - sitting around all day eating grapes, and screwing everything and anyone than can. lol"<quoted text>
nah I don't agree with this, I don't think one generation is better or worse than the one before or after.
think about it, from what we are to believe, as far back as the Romans - their lifestyle - sitting around all day eating grapes, and screwing everything and anyone than can. lol
or what about the history of Christianity - its been told how people were tortured to get people to conform to their way - and supposedly all in the name of God?
none of these sound very moral to me, not my way of thinking anyway. and the list goes on and on.
who do we know in our own list of family and friends that hasn't had some kind of mishap in their lives, something they are not proud of. we all do, because we are human..
so I don't think any one generation can claim to be the "moral one"
I think as an individual u can try and live what you yourself consider to be moral, but normal is different for each of us, so who are we to judge what others do.
actually I don't care what others do, got enough to worry about with myself. lol
and that was just the Upper Classes, lol
but I know what you mean. The good old days eh?
What I was meaning is, standards have changed. You wouldn'
pick up a newspaper once upon a time, and see some poor 80 odd
year old with black eyes, beaten to a pulp, or even worse.
Just for a few shillings.
Even burglars seemed to have higher standards than that.
