<quoted text>How very fortunate for Morgan that he came across your path. Wonderful to know a sweet kitty has found a sweet friend. I hope you enjoyed your trip! It's been a whirlwind here, a couple of days literally! When the tornadoes moved through our state, we saw no action except high winds. We had our lights flicker in and off a few times, but never lost power. It did, however, take out my rangetop stove!
Hope the worst of those high winds are over by now Paise, you
have been lucky by the sound, although your stove was not so
lucky. Streuth! Not the best of weather here this morning,
although expecting snow tomorrow...:)
Morgan is now firmly established here, he and I are 'like that'
he is perfect, currently he is sitting on a chair in the 'Chalet'
having been in his bed in the kitchen overnight, the door of the chalet is slightly open and he has access to the birds who are
feeding on the table and on the ground. He leaves them be. Now
that is a perfect cat as I love the birds.
Taking him for his innocs and micro-chip next Thursday, he is good as gold travelling.

Has to be an understatement.
What an awful pity though, a missed opportunity.

I think sometimes the holidays make us feel much more than we want to ever think about, its brings all the feelings of happiness and sadness in our lives to the brim and then spills over just when we least expect it..
BaHumBug! lol
hope u feel much better today.
:)
"El - don't u know, we're All normal - in our own way.."

course we are PFfff...I keep on telling myself that, lol.

but you are quite right in what you say about feeing being
heightened this time of the year. It's true enough.

Something John Lennon said in an interview just after
the Beatles manager, Brian Epstein died. He was asked
if the Maharaji had given them any advice to which he replied,
'yes, he told us to only remember the good times, as unhappy
memories will reach those we have passed'.

I am trying to follow that advice........

I have a cruise ship story.
(Hi El)
When I was about 16 my mom took be on a once in a lifetime vacation to Acapulco on a ship out of San Diego.
There weren't many young people on it. I had a girl (14 year old "jail bait") follow me around the whole trip. She said she was Candice Bergen's niece. That's as close as I ever got to meeting a movie star. lol I think I drank too much and danced with her.
That's a cute story Fisherman.....you wouldn't forget an experience
like that. Can see you was always the gent too!...:)

Had a nice day out yesterday, drove over to
Llandudno and went the multi complex cinema there...

How embarrassing was this? Went to pay for the
tickets and the bloke asked me 'which film do
you want to see'....my mind went blank. So I said
'run me through them will you please'....so he
obliged...starting with Philomena, I'm like 'no
not that one'...Carrie 'no'...blah blah..until he came to the one I had actually gone to see.
Bloody Hell, hope this isn't a sign of the future, hahaha
Anyway, the movie was great and we had a great time, niceto have a change of scene.

Good Morning Sir Tally....

trying to think of something positive to say, but you know,
I say this sincerely, the world is not the place it was.
The old values seem to have gone down the drain.
Good to know there are those who care!

nah I don't agree with this, I don't think one generation is better or worse than the one before or after.

think about it, from what we are to believe, as far back as the Romans - their lifestyle - sitting around all day eating grapes, and screwing everything and anyone than can. lol

or what about the history of Christianity - its been told how people were tortured to get people to conform to their way - and supposedly all in the name of God?
none of these sound very moral to me, not my way of thinking anyway. and the list goes on and on.
who do we know in our own list of family and friends that hasn't had some kind of mishap in their lives, something they are not proud of. we all do, because we are human..
so I don't think any one generation can claim to be the "moral one"
I think as an individual u can try and live what you yourself consider to be moral, but normal is different for each of us, so who are we to judge what others do.
actually I don't care what others do, got enough to worry about with myself. lol

Bora Da!

and that was just the Upper Classes, lol

but I know what you mean. The good old days eh?

What I was meaning is, standards have changed. You wouldn'
pick up a newspaper once upon a time, and see some poor 80 odd
year old with black eyes, beaten to a pulp, or even worse.
Just for a few shillings.

Even burglars seemed to have higher standards than that.

El,
I wrote to you here yesterday,
post 31330
in it I was asking you what upset you
so much, you may have missed it..

anyway,
I see you went to see THE BUTLER,
so did I, wasn't half as good as PHILOMENA
movie, did you see that yet?
very moving...

I hear you folks across the pond have been battered
with very high winds, high here too but not
as bad as the UK has it..

A dreadful dose descended on me cold
and chest infection, I went to Doc early today,
they always told me not to delay with these things
on account of my heart problem..
so I did the right thing.

He put me on an antibiotic, which should straighten
things out, well, what do we expect, its December!
the time for coughs and colds...

Take care El & everyone..

Good morning El. What is good in the kitchen. I am getting all my chores done and getting ready for the big ice storm that is coming in. We don't get much snow but the ice is a mother. To dangerous to get out. Got the wood ready for the fire place. Enjoy your day
