Kryp my friend in England wife face down the Krays. I t was very funny. Brian used to work for the Krays and they met by chance in Brighton and had a drink where Brian was a bouncer. Brian and one of the Krays got into an argumet and one of the Krays invited him to step outside and sort it out. Joy got into his face and told hime he was not going to harm her Brian. Kray said he and Brian had been friends for years and no way would he ever hurt his old friend :)True story

Thanks Grace..
while I'm here..you mentioned Dating Agencies.
A couple of mornings later there was talk of it on Sky News,
as to the protection, or lack of, it afforded to women, and
how it could be made more secure and safe by checking applicants
out thoroughly.
I would have thought that compulsory myself..would you not?
Thanks for this reply and your
interest in the subject,
of course, you are perfectly correct,
it seems, in this particular case I wrote
about here, the deceased was in touch with
or *MAY HAVE BEEN*[not to wrong her when she
cannot speak for herself]

some dodgey unregistered dating agency,
the cops meantime, are pulling out ALL
THE STOPS..
trying to get the jigsaw pieces together.

Also,
2 days ago, a lady suffering from senile dementia
took her dog to the local shop,
5 mins away..
the way she did every day,
and always knew the route -
but this time she disappeared
and notwithstanding many groups out looking
for her, hasn't been found yet!

She even came across the set where
'MRS BROWNE'S BOYS' were filming the next series, & spoke to some of
the cast,
[who have been enormously helpful when they
heard the news] but she doesn't know who she is!..
or who anyone else is..

I cant help thinking it is remiss of the family
to let her out AT ALL with that complaint.

The sadness in family tales.

I see this , the technology of today and tomorrow is making certain things disappear...like the telegraph did to the pony and the train did to the stage coaches

but still the postal system is a necessity

I notice that every day.. the I
was going to say.. subtle changes,
but indeed not subtle at all..

The mobile phone [or cell phone]
has given chase to alarm clocks AND cameras to a
greater extent, altho' the latter [photography] is still
safe, there are very powerful state-of-the-art
cameras to be had today, that no cell-phone-camera
could measure up to..
nevertheless the 'phone camera is very handy at
capturing on the spot details..which otherwise might
have been missed.. and, at times important details
at accident scenes etc.

sup Bub.

I think what you're saying (from "my" post offices I use) is that the Forever stamp has no price marking. Those you buy before a price increase are as good (without extra stamps) as the ones sold after a price increase. That's the intent and effect. No more needing to buy those small-change stamps anymore. Hmmm, I wonder if they've stopped printing those?

:)

Good afternoon/evening Kitchen-eers.
