and in this time or "patriotic" fervor no one stands up to this internal growing problem

just look how homeland security money is being scooped up and squandered by small town departments, its revolting

And to think that petitions are flying around requesting signatures to appeal to the 'powers that be' to put a stop
to animal cruelty, and it happening in your own back yard.
Absolutely sickening.
All credit to the man who made this video...but is there
anybody, any organisation, able to curb the roping?
but when cops threaten petition organizers people become afraid to even sign

Basically, it stinks. Where are those in charge? If they
condone it, then I would chop down that tree.
complacency in departments with power and authority is tyranny

One good reason why the people who make the videos of these vile
acts are to be admired. They are Heroes in my eyes.

I have learned from my own efforts that it affords protection

I love the light of day

after being openly threatened for speaking up direct contact with the state attorneys general office and handing out copies of correspondence between myself and the state put fear of further contact of any kind in the hearts of abusers of this authority

works for me

Good morning El :) I hope your day is going great. They are working on my foundation and I already found a broken drain line. Plumber coming this morning. I am afraid this is going to be very expensive before it is over :(

I hate to say it Denny....guns should be controlled.
Over the weekend my newspaper did a two page article on
Benghazi...I had no idea of the details when you mentioned
it on here. Terrible thing to happen.
Just heard seven dead and twelve injured...
The shooter had mental problems and heard voices. He by law should not have owned a gun. The people should not lose their right to own a gun because of the acts of a crazy person. I have a constitutional right to own guns

Interestingly,
There was a controversial case here recently
of a daughter who took her elderly Dad to court;
he had been seriously abusing her
for a long period in the past
starting when she was 7 years, and she
never before had the courage to deal with it
eventho' it was burning her up.

He arrived at Court with a walking aid & in poor
health;

after as long case where all the gory
details were exposed, notwithstanding,
he was allowed go free.

This was a high profile case, the victim was devastated..
and there was a HUGE public outcry, it didn't stop
there, people got out & marched in their hundreds
in every county with such volume
the judge was left with no alternative
other than to bring the case
back to court to review it -
eventually this man ended up with a jail sentence ..

The wronged woman thanked the public for
'standing up to the system, where the law had let her down'
[she said]

Adding my voice to that of El's here..
in passing on regret for what happened
in your country yesterday,
when I read..
thirteen dead and many injured.

tragic.

I don't trust or rely on the court system here

the court of public opinion has been more effective and consistent as long as one can back up what they say

having a intimidating presence helps as well
