Mytten da and thanks for all the good wishes to everyone on board here - beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Here's a beacon for ya, Admir-able.

I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by,
And the wheel’s kick and the wind’s song and the white sail’s shaking,
And a gray mist on the sea’s face, and a gray dawn breaking.

I must down go to the seas again, for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;
And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,
And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.

I must go down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life,
To the gull’s way and the whale’s way, where the wind’s like a whetted knife;
And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,
And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick’s over.

I look at it like this,
Most families are close.. tight knit,
but even so, at times there is argument,
and a letting off of steam,
If nothing else, only to show the individuality
of a person and the differences which lie between us all,
which make us more interesting than a group of
compliant YES men and women.

It is like that here on Offbeat too IMO..

El said what she had to ... today..
and I said what I felt I had to..

I didn't at all intend to patronise in the post El spoke of,

BUT,
If it did come across that way, I
apologise.

As far as I'm concerned it's over now
And it's business as usual.

I got on well with my echo cardiogram..
As far as I know, lol

It will be followed up later with a visit to the Dr
for results..

Well, at least I know there's still
'Something' in there pumping away
and keeping me going!

And...
That'll do me(:

It was an unecessary thing to do Denny, and comes under Wilful Damage no doubt, but surely you wouldn't wish them shot for such
an action. It doesn't compare with what a lot of kids do, and even then to be shot and killed by a member of the public should not be allowed. That is what the Courts are for, not to shoot of course, but to convict.
perhaps he could have taken their pictures and called the police? i agree, holding kids at gunpoint for keying a car is kind of extreme.

Years ago I caught a young man stealing something from my business ... I could have held him using physical force, but I had read also about how poeple had been sued themselves for injuring a person while trying to "arrest" them .. so I wasn't sure how to proceed. One of my employees called the police while I followed and ultimately cornered him ... it would have been so much easier if I could have used force to hold him.

I see I didn't reply to this post.
I didn't reply as I was taken aback at how very patronising
your comments were.
"I know you mean well".........? That's noble of you Grace.
The link I posted covered trials of this honey at Christies
hospital, Manchester, the leading cancer hospital in the UK.
It's reputation is second to none.
I credit Tony with having the wherewithall to firstly discuss
any dietary possibilities with the appropriate department
should he think fit.
May I point out, that sometimes we are able to make our own decisions based on the wider picture...
I didn't see the necessity to 'chip in' with your opinion on
my recommendation of Manuka Honey as it happens, we are not idiots here that we need your guidance.
As I said previously, I have a busy day ahead, you have your hospital appointment to which I am sure you have already departed, and I sincerely wish you all the best, but I have nothing further to say to you Grace.
I am somewhat surprised at this, seeing as we have often touted the "live and let live" policy in this thread.

We understand if something has upset you ... often things in our personal life or perhaps something elsewhere in TOPIX may have upset us and made us more sensitive and reactive.

i hope this is not a reason for you to leave the thread, or TOPIX ... we all care about you and value your daily posts.

SO, lets let "bygone be bygones" and move on in the positive way we know you to be.

So much for freedom of speech on 'your' thread El..
I thought we are all free to 'chip in'
on any given subject!! And
you say everyone is welcome,
but apparently,
that only
depends on what ever mood *you* are in El!
Then .. at the end of your post wishing me the best
On my echo-cardio gram!! after dressing me down..
Well,
that doesn't wash with me,
leave it out..
and I don't intend to take this
Into further argument, as it indirectly mentions Tony
who has been thru' more than enough ,
and can do without this sort of Atmosphere
When he comes here for a break.
I am sure that TONY, being the easy going guy he is, would take any advice as "well meant" whether it was useful to him or not.

Yes .. Mr. bright-minded detective!!(:

I've always been left handed..

Teachers(of old) who knew no better back then..
tried (in vain) to make me right handed
by slapping my small hands repeatedly with a sharp ruler,
M
made me cry & told me I was a disaster esp.when
It came to sewing and knitting, that I'd NEVER
be able to even sew in a button,
Their brain washing proved successful..
because me and the needle are poles apart
BUT!!!

I did find a very great dressmaker lol..

AND they never got to destroy the poetry
that's in my soul...
So all remains good!

I don't need to think twice Grace, to accept your apology,
which is very gracious of you considering I let my tongue
run away with me, lol, and it is I, should be apologising
to you. Which I do MOST sincerely.

None of us need to be falling out and I hold my hands up, I
over-reacted.

Very glad to hear all appears well healthwise, knowing that
gives you peace of mind...:)

do you have the right to draw a gun on an unnarmed person?

no, its thanks to a bigots value of another life

a smile and a nod from his wife instead of the expression she gave them would have gone a long way to a peaceful exchange, instead they showed her what an ugly look really is. you know the type that lock the door when they stop next to a black

I have a right to draw a gun on someone on my property committing a crime. And why do you assume he was unarmed. These are not children I am talking about. These are gangsters not innocent children
