<quoted text>Good morning El. I have only been to the UK in summer once . The days are so very long but your winter days have so little sun, I guess it is a trade off. What is good in the kitchen this morning?
Good Morning Denny..we can be lucky in the Winter and have some
decent days. It's then I like best, as you get the beaches to
yourself, the roads are quiet, and the light is fantastic.
Misty today and fine rain...thought it was all too good to be true.
Just the sort of da for a good old fashioned roast dnner, with
Yorkshire pudding of course.
I expect it's hot in Texas?

Hi El,
And good to see you back...
lovely to have a break .. Like you say-
does a body good, I'm sure you'll agree,
Glad Peter enjoyed it too.

Ali was licking her paw for the past days,
And sometimes trying to get the whole paw in
her mouth &tried chewing it gently, which was DERN awkward,
As 'twas a back paw, poor little baby.

I looked and saw a deepish cut,
So did the right thing & brought her to vet,
Who cleaned it and put her on anti biotic+
Pain killers and VERY LITTLE walking next few days.

So I have a little patient(:

When you get a chance take a look at my post>

about D Farina, RIP..
I know it's not easy to see all posts when one's been away.

Am still shocked numb as I'm sure you are about the case
of the Polish woman + partner who so unbelievably abused her little 4yr old
Son who died from his injuries..

I, too, am amazed no Ğr or teacher copped it.

Beyond words.

However,

Welcome back El..

'Afternoon Grace...very thoughtful of you to send out the wishes
of concern when I was away for a few....really appreciated.

I saw the post which you referred to, but the moment had passed
(as had Dennis) so I thought I would just leave him to Rest In Peace.

Appalling about the little boy Daniel, it honestly beggars belief that paid professionals did not notice a little child wasting away...rooting in bins for food...heartbreaking. Apparently he was well looked after until the mother had a child by little Daniel's step-father. May God forgive them because I doubt if I could.

El I thought I would catch you up on Obama care. At first congress was exempt from Obama care but an amendment was put in to make congress and staff to be covered by Obama care. It is such a great program the people who wrote the law want no part of it. They screamed so loud that staff would quit Obama directed an office in the executive branch to subsidize the cost for congress and staff with a 75% subsidy the tax payer is paying for. Unions who are solid democrat want to be exempt from the law. Obama put off the business complying with the law until after the next election. If you work 40 hours the company must give you insurance so now they will give you 20 hours and make you part time so they don't have to pay. One of the Democrats who wrote the law said this is going to be a train wreck :)

Thanks El,
No hassle in enquiring about old friends(:

Yes indeed,
The authorities HAVE a lot to answer about little
Daniel ..
Poor little unfortunate boy.

Very nice weather here today.
Less warm sunny and breezy.
My kind of weather!

Ummm what did you think of
Simon Cowell's news?,

Good day back to you Tally from
Madame Grace lol..

And thanks VERY much for your suggestion about the dog..

Speaking of which.

I just put up a new thread called

'Something you should know'

It's content is frighteningly interesting,

Hi Franko...

searching for an answer but I see Tally has summed it up perfectly.

It's another shocking instance of a child slipping through the net of those in power to protect.

Streuth Denny. It just doesn't make sense to me I'm afraid.

Over here there is discontent because people are being given zero hours contracts in their jobs. Sometimes they are not given any work at all, hence no wages.
This morning it was announced that couples who are both employed, with children, will be given vouchers to the tune of 1,200 pounds per annun towards child care. This will apply even if they are earning 300,00 pounds a year between them. It's insane.

None at all Grace....it was a huge shock.

How is Ali? I was so sorry I didn't ask earlier, I thought I had
that was really remiss of me. Must have been miles away.

As for Simon Cowell! Well, I wasn't going to mention it, but as you have broached it, it's quite a mess isn't it, just hope it turns out to be a happy ending, one good thing is the mum-to-be
is already a mother and a jolly good one at that. Life happens!
Can't condemn him for what has happened countless times before.

Me too, lovin' this cooler weather and the rain has done the plants good, everywhere so green and glowing.
