If you are wondering where I got to, we have had a few days away, returning home each late evening on account of the pets.
One place we visited was too interesting not to mention, so here it is, we stopped for lunch on the way at Holywell and carried on to spend the day at Erddig..the weather was superb and after a cream tea before setting off home, we stopped for an hour and sat on the beach which was still in blazing sunshine at seven in the evening.
Erddig...

sounds nice El, nothing like sitting on the beach and relaxing.

Grace, again ... good to see you back in good form!
Britons:'we' in middle-earth Indiana woke up to a Chelsea morning. Sports reads and talk media, and community interest news in the Indianapolis area was awash with the free kick attained in international sports image Thursday night:

Luke...the article was so beautifully written...I barely needed
the visuals, but seek them out I did, I was lucky enough to find images on youtube, with information on the area of Butte...and fascinating it is too. It is true enough what it says, how landscapes suffer because of the Industrial useage, but nevertheless, a fascinating place.

New to me about the Shropshire farmer, just goes to show, it's there if you look for it. I found metal detecting great fun although was not particularly lucky.

As for the match in Indiana....the Stadium is fantastic, I would have loved to watch that match, do you think British soccer is catching on in the USA?(I heard about the altercation during the match)..:)

That was my favourite part of the day...that, and the cream tea...
the good news is it wasn't sand, it was pebbles, we parked the car
and got the chairs out (and a snack) and the breeze was heavenly from the sea, I could have stayed 'till sunset.
We ARE lucky that we can go anytime...funny, I don't go that often and we have one ten minutes drive away...or five if P's driving, lol!
Good point about possible changes....

Hello Lady El ... Well, the house the interior renovations are almost complete ... Jamie will be here Sunday morning 0900 to lay the living room flooring ... The living room furniture will be delivered between 1200 and 1400 on Monday, yay! I have two picture frames to pick up at Michael's or Hobby Lobby tomorrow ... Then, strategically place the framed posters on the walls ... Did I tell you we painted one wall red? We call it the museum wall, lol ... That's what it's intended to be ... Not sure how museum like it'll be as there are many but I may have to auction some or ebay/craigslist some if there are too many ... can't have the "tacky" look, LOL ...
Hope things are going well in your corner of the world ... Hello to P and treats for the critters ... Jax waves as he goes to his little bed ... Have a lovely Saturday! Much Love ~ FC <3 ...
It's going to be really lovely when it's finished Flower, I am sure, so Jamie is on his way if I have my timing right (five hours time diff)? quite a job, hope you make yourself scarce while he carries on with it. Red sounds good, was going to say will give the illusion of warmth, but who needs that in Texas! lol
My bedroom is red as it happens....
with cream accessories...carpet, curtains (Laura Ashley) blah blah.
Big Kiss for Jax and one for his best friend in the whole world...:)

Good morning El. I have only been to the UK in summer once . The days are so very long but your winter days have so little sun, I guess it is a trade off. What is good in the kitchen this morning?

Good Morning Denny..we can be lucky in the Winter and have some
decent days. It's then I like best, as you get the beaches to
yourself, the roads are quiet, and the light is fantastic.
Misty today and fine rain...thought it was all too good to be true.
Just the sort of da for a good old fashioned roast dnner, with
Yorkshire pudding of course.
I expect it's hot in Texas?

Hi El,
And good to see you back...
lovely to have a break .. Like you say-
does a body good, I'm sure you'll agree,
Glad Peter enjoyed it too.

Ali was licking her paw for the past days,
And sometimes trying to get the whole paw in
her mouth &tried chewing it gently, which was DERN awkward,
As 'twas a back paw, poor little baby.

I looked and saw a deepish cut,
So did the right thing & brought her to vet,
Who cleaned it and put her on anti biotic+
Pain killers and VERY LITTLE walking next few days.

So I have a little patient(:

When you get a chance take a look at my post>

I know it's not easy to see all posts when one's been away.

Am still shocked numb as I'm sure you are about the case
of the Polish woman + partner who so unbelievably abused her little 4yr old
Son who died from his injuries..

I, too, am amazed no r or teacher copped it.

Beyond words.

However,

Welcome back El..

'Afternoon Grace...very thoughtful of you to send out the wishes
of concern when I was away for a few....really appreciated.

I saw the post which you referred to, but the moment had passed
(as had Dennis) so I thought I would just leave him to Rest In Peace.

Appalling about the little boy Daniel, it honestly beggars belief that paid professionals did not notice a little child wasting away...rooting in bins for food...heartbreaking. Apparently he was well looked after until the mother had a child by little Daniel's step-father. May God forgive them because I doubt if I could.
