I'm not the only one
The Genius Of The Crowd
there is enough treachery, hatred violence absurdity in the average
human being to supply any given army on any given day
and the best at murder are those who preach against it
and the best at hate are those who preach love
and the best at war finally are those who preach peace
those who preach god, need god
those who preach peace do not have peace
those who preach peace do not have love
beware the preachers
beware the knowers
beware those who are always reading books
beware those who either detest poverty
or are proud of it
beware those quick to praise
for they need praise in return
beware those who are quick to censor
they are afraid of what they do not know
beware those who seek constant crowds for
they are nothing alone
beware the average man the average woman
beware their love, their love is average
seeks average
but there is genius in their hatred
there is enough genius in their hatred to kill you
to kill anybody
not wanting solitude
not understanding solitude
they will attempt to destroy anything
that differs from their own
not being able to create art
they will not understand art
they will consider their failure as creators
only as a failure of the world
not being able to love fully
they will believe your love incomplete
and then they will hate you
and their hatred will be perfect
like a shining diamond
like a knife
like a mountain
like a tiger
like hemlock
their finest art

Hi GN, nice to have you back. Where in France did you go? We're off for three days in October (treatment will be long gone by then)- ferry withy car to Roscoff, then a drive to St Malo and three nights in a B & B in the intra Muros - a great little hotel I know. Unbelievable, ferry, car, cabin over and three nights is 300 for the two of us.
My son lives down by The Loire Valley, very rural, lovely air and scenery.

i was fascinated seeing my son go out early ev morning,
to the patisserie,
before breakfast for the fresh melt-in-your-mouth
Croissants!

Some customs very different..

That's a mighty good deal you got there,
By any standards, and coming at a good time for you..

Great stuff, Tony..

A bit negative I'd say,
Too critical of others ...

HMMMmmmmm. With everyone going around and kissing Irish ass here, how about I throw my Jewish ass into the mix? I would literally, not want anyone to kiss it, but worshiping it upon a pedestal, admiring, and oggling it from afar, might not be a bad idea. Happeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ee Thursday!!!!!!!!!!

I love the Loire - some very beautiful chateaux down there and the wines - Pouilly Fume and the like, superb whites.

The French do have it right when it comes to the bakery - early morning collection of both Croissants and bagette and then another fresh bread for the evening: it's a great way of life.
