No, actually RH, I got my information from a paralegal who practices in Florida and has firsthand knowledge. But if you can't see that Zimmerman was the aggressor and instigator than we'll agree to disagree.

I may live in Chicago but I have no use for Jesse and I don't listen to Al, so they are not where I got my info. And I think you missed my point that it's not about race, it's about an overzealous wannabe cop who couldn't get a real job on the force.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah nothing like 3rd party info . here is the main reason not to agree with you then and now

you didn't know that ....Florida does not license paralegals as of 2010. Therefore, a paralegal license is not required

really please accept this as I told you so . and how many times did you say I was wrong .... I didn't know what I was talking about?????

oh well

thanks for your perceptions of LIM
What is your point Tally? Seriously?

1. I think I agree with you on Zimmerman. I don't know or care if race came into play. Zimmerman was the aggressor from the get go. "Real" authorities told him to stay in the vehicle but the wannabe cop figured he knew better.....

2. I am well aware the Florida does not license. I watched intently when the senate bill went up for vote and I am quite familiar with the small group of paralegals in FL pushing for licensure. At the moment, only Oregon and Utah require paralegal licensure.

3. How is this an "I told you so" ? Were you suggesting Zimmerman should nit have been convicted? Zimmerman is as guilty as OJ was. It's like a guy instigating a bar fight and then claiming self defense when the intended victim gets the upper hand.

No problem on the MIL thing. I have a strong distaste for people who treat others badly and outright mean.

We may or may not agree on the Zimmerman verdict (do we?), but most of our disagreements are not personal, when they're done they're done.

Accepted. And I rue the day Illinois requires paralegals to be licensed. Fortunately I am moving away from that and more into banking compliance.

<quoted text>Hi DW - struggling a little now - the radiotherapy is blitzing my throat and the PEG line to the stomach has killed my appetite, so this weekend is proving a little bit of a struggle. Not helped by the heat, which means I have to hide inside (have to keep out of the sun). I realise out 80 F + is nothing compared to areas of the US, but it's a heat-wave for us without a/c. Have no intention of caving in to any of this - but it is harder than it's been for a while.
Be well and stay well Tony. Your positive attitude will do winders in overcoming the battle. Do what ya can and rest when your body tells you you need it.

Who fixed the flat? We need to know these things, no use telling us half a story, haha.
Having a rest today? Seriously hope so. Have a great weekend V.
I'm more interested in how the party for the little cutie turned out. Details! We want details!

Good deal Denny. I can't recall having bass though I'm sure I have eaten it at some point. My bro used to catch Lake Michigan smelt.

You mean...you are NOT holding your breath about the Royal baby?
lol
There are apsects of their lives I do not envy, Kate and William
that is, but then again, they have it made in a lot of respects,
his by his birthright, hers by choice, but one thing I cannot
understand is, how on Earth is this new baby going to give us
Hope? How? I mean will it relieve those who have to rely on food
banks or worse, Hope? I don't get it. I just do not get it at all.
Another Royal is expecting too..and that is Zara, Princess Anne's
daughter. Good luck to her also.
But a happy medium would be nice and that I would like to see some
pleasure at the very least, here in Wales, when the new baby arrives.
Sadly that won't happen. Tends to push me in their corner if you
know what I mean.
Yeah, I know what you mean
and I don't blame you

and you are right 'odd' what they say about
hope in this context, I dono' either
what it might mean, unless they somehow thought
the human race was about to end(:

Oh! I'd better stop being naughty,
I DO wish 'em well.

I don't half sound a miserable sod...but when the country
is in such dire straits, and church leaders and so on are
saying that this baby will give us hope...like I say, I
can't see it. When we see all babies in the world having
enough food to survive..then I might think differently.
I do believe that Kate and William are showing a good
example by having the baby in an NHS hospital...rather than
Private. If it's good enough for them type of thing?
So we will sit back and wait and just hope everything goes
well for them..
But how I wish I could fly the flag from my window...

G'morning {{{Cuz Luke}}}...you really thought that, lol,
how did you guess, haha, not up my street so to speak,
but I wish them well and look forward to hearing of the
new baby, the sex, the name, etc., it is going to be so
reminiscent of when Diana gave birth to William and brought
him out of the hospital for the waiting crowds to have a glimpse..
it is still fresh in the mind.
What does grieve me is that the birth will not be celebrated here in Wales, even though Prince Charles was crowned Prince of Wales at the nearby castle, Caernarfon Castle....
The Welsh are of the belief that the crown was stolen from
Prince Llewellyn, the last Prince of Wales.
There I go on the history again....
Wonderful footage on the News this morning of the little boy
being rescued from the sand dunes in Indiana..such good news he survived
the ordeal.
Good afternoon El ... tea, toast, and marmalade in the Summer House with you and Mr.'P' was very dandy, indeed. Now, you did spy the 'j/k' ending on the jibe about London, no?

Shortly, I'll be giving some attention to the final round of the Scottish Open golf tournament at Castle Stuart in Inverness. In a week or two, The Open will be held at Muirfield this year.

History .... I'm a big fan, though even with you and Tony's tutelage about, and my reading on the eras and rulers of the Isles, it's a pretty muddle to puzzle out from the influences of the Danes, the Angles, the Normans, the Saxons .... arrggghhh!

Oh yes, that wee lad from Chicagoland was very fortunate to have an air pocket created that saved his life. I've been on that sand dune several times ... there but the Grace of God.

I feel guilty, you had everything done & dusted
and I'm not long up(:
I'm inclined to agree about the Royal baby
NO FAULT rests with Kate + William,
[whom I wish very well]
it's the media saying things like 'everyone around the
world holding their collective breath waiting for
the news'!! WHAT??(:
LOL. I'm holding my breath alright but it's more heat induced lol
Wishing everyone here a fair day.
And the sun will rise tomorrow! Bet your bottom [U.S. dollar]...:)

Oh, speaking of financials .... it's touted here that 'baby royal' is good for the economy there with all kinds of goods offered in commemoration of the blessed event.

Well, there's the thing ... hope. Maybe the event will have an indirect blessing on an uptick in supplying food banks and such "in the baby's name" by charity of the congregations, the capitalistic marketers gaining profit, the Royal Family, and dare I say it ... Parliament? If at least some come through, it should help.

After I'd visit her on a frosty night on my way to
The car when all the stars were out
But I could feel the bitter cold,
She taught me not to complain,
But to appreciate the fact that I could see them.
In her earlier stages of Alzheimer's ..
when trying to explain something and when
She became befuddled, she taught me ..
How I took communication on an minute by minute basis,
for granted..
When alone in a room full of her friends and relatives,
yet not recognising ANY of them
She taught me what I had taken for granted..
Friends there, and yes,
All one had to do was join in-
But, alas, not always so simple;
plus a myriad of other things I took for granted,
She silently pulled me up
And MADE ME THINK,
Since she and I ..
during our times together, couldn't converse,
I had all the time in the world ..when sitting by her
to observe, ie, times when she would pull out a feeble hand
Out from under the bedclothes
and direct it to her face, yet never reaching the face,
she would withdraw her hand again, I remember thinking,
'Maybe a simple thing like her nose..was itchy'
but she couldn't scratch it!
I had never thought of that before,
but I knew now, because she taught me..
She gave me, by her teaching, an appreciation
of what it is like to 'live' every day..
not merely to exist in a
No man's land..like she had to do,
And because of it I have an extra sense
of being alive..
Strange that such a frail old lady,
Altho' lost in a forest of confusion,
had these hidden powers to affect
others, in a silent way..
and for the good...
I am very glad I knew her.
Grace,

Few people would have gotten all that out of the experience as you did.

But then, few are as insightful and introspective as you.

the environmentalists are trying to figure out how to minimize the size of the landfills, while the big manufacturers are figuring out how to make poeple buy a replacement every 2 or 3 years instead of 10 years like it used to be .. these numbers apply to computers built currently versus those built circa 1990. But it applies to almost everything ... people replace furniture every 5 or 6 years, but when I was a kid most poeple were telling me they had tables, chairs, and sofas that were over 20 years old.
