No way to 'live'
I agree....no way to live at all. Still sad to lose
them but a blessed relief for those concerned.
I was thinking on what you said Grace, on you learnt a lot
althopugh words were not spoken. I was rattling my brains
as to what I learnt from my own experience with seeing my friend,
once so vital and with such a sense of humour, hard working,
reduced to not knowing who I was...
and I couldn't think of anything I learnt, except to attempt to
keep my mind sharp as possible...
I already had compassion...didn't learn that from this one experience...
Patience....got that...
Sadness...got that too
...:)
It does feel like there is not much to learn, after a while ... I've been through that too. Mostly it's how to keep your head while things are tough.

opt II.... shut p/c down , restart at the same time rapidly pressing F8 key until you get a black screen white text.... that will be internal menu ..look for , repair , renew , something to that effect ... using your arrows on key board high light that [repair or options]
enter and follow prompt..it may say use OS or factory restore.. OS is operating system on a driver disk
factory restore is better ... that will wipe everything out
everything ... be like new good luck ,
wouldn't that be a last resort? won't she lose files and have to relaod software?

you're a mussel??? They are closely related to clams... that explains the underwater activities ...

But when it comes to your back, how are your muscles?

seems odd that TOPIX would bother to delete that post, I've seen them leave up far worse ones.

Even so, a live and let live approach would make life more peaceful for all concerned. you included.

there are people in this forum who post with 2 or more identities but somehow I don't believe those two are the same person.

You mean the French fries!
You say French Fries...I say Chips.

We could compromise and call them sglodion which is
Welsh for chipped potatoes.

So it's Fish and Sglods tonight then..:)

Life is a learning curve anyway....and you are so right,
if anything we learn how to cope with such tragedies.

Tends to cushion us a little from further hurdles we must face
in life.

it gets pulled because tally and vee reported it repeatedly with key words in report that move it to the head of the line

content is not the reason it was pulled and fast

After I'd visit her on a frosty night on my way to
The car when all the stars were out
But I could feel the bitter cold,
She taught me not to complain,
But to appreciate the fact that I could see them.

In her earlier stages of Alzheimer's ..
when trying to explain something and when
She became befuddled, she taught me ..
How I took communication on an minute by minute basis,
for granted..

When alone in a room full of her friends and relatives,
yet not recognising ANY of them
She taught me what I had taken for granted..
Friends there, and yes,
All one had to do was join in-
But, alas, not always so simple;

plus a myriad of other things I took for granted,
She silently pulled me up
And MADE ME THINK,

Since she and I ..
during our times together, couldn't converse,

I had all the time in the world ..when sitting by her
to observe, ie, times when she would pull out a feeble hand
Out from under the bedclothes
and direct it to her face, yet never reaching the face,
she would withdraw her hand again, I remember thinking,
'Maybe a simple thing like her nose..was itchy'
but she couldn't scratch it!
I had never thought of that before,
but I knew now, because she taught me..

She gave me, by her teaching, an appreciation
of what it is like to 'live' every day..
not merely to exist in a
No man's land..like she had to do,
And because of it I have an extra sense
of being alive..

Strange that such a frail old lady,
Altho' lost in a forest of confusion,
had these hidden powers to affect
others, in a silent way..
and for the good...

I am very glad I knew her.
