You was unlucky with the Schnauzer Franko, normally very amenable
to being trained, that is why they are sought after by the police
for police work.
Back in the day I had a German Shepherd who was in my opinion sadly lacking in the brains department. Fortunately a friend
who happened to be a police dog-handler took me in hand, to train
the dog to police standard, I doubted it could be done, however, after two solid weeks of his training me to train my dog, the dog
was perfectly trained, came to call, stayed up to ten minutes, and etc., one thing he would not do, neither did I request it, was to train him to the arm...that way you have a lethal weapon on your hands he explained.
I should add this dog did not have a bad bone in his body, he would let anybody in the house, lick them to death.
Moving on....I rescued a Yellow Labrador. He had been tortured by his young master who got home from school before his parents got home from work. The dog turned on him, he was taken to kennels and advertised, I answered the advert. For me, he was good as gold. However his one desire was to attack anything that moved, including children. I had to walk this dog at 11 p.m when everybody was indoors, I had a grown man crying when he bared his teeth at him when he crossed our path..a police officer who attended my house after a proposed burglary, jumping over the adjoining hedge at the sight of him as I answered the door...the dog saved me from two proposed break-ins. I loved that dog.
Because of the fact that it was decided for me that he was a liability, I had to part with him, and gave him to a hotel as
a guard dog.
I do not for a minute think that Ali is nearly as unhandleable as
my Golden Labrador was, due to his unfortunate past, but would plead with Grace to work on training him to come on command.
It would even be a good investment to have a professional trainer
train him to that standard.
It could save a lot of heart ache.
hmmm .. it was actually a miniature Schauzer, he was actually better than the Beagle .. barely ....

Perhaps it was us, we probably did not put in the effort reuired to properly train them ...

Saw/heard sports update item about the final. Congrats to the winner after such a long, long try at it.
Also heard that the American twins nabbed the doubles championship. Congrats to them too; and they've won all of the grand slams in succession. WOW!
she played in 47 majors before wining one ... a new record they said .. the previous was 45...

Those Bryan brothers have been amazing, the top doubles team for at least half a decade ....

I believe they once previously had a chance to own all four majors at once and got stopped by the Canadian doubles team (The canadian half being Danielle Nestor, a mediocre singles player but a top doubles player for over 15 years ....)

I apologize for the confusion ... I was still posting about the TV travelogue I'd seen (as I did previously). It was vicarious in intent.
The closest I've been to B.C. is a visit to Seattle in the mid-90s. But hey, I have cousins in Bellingham ... does that count?!:)
sorry,no it doesn't ... well, maybe ...

My brother recenty moved to an address on 4rth avenue, which is 4 blocks from the border, about 30 minutes to drive to Bellingham from there .... when I visit I am told I will have to pay roaming charges because the closest cell phone tower is in the USA side of the boarder!!! My brother had to make a special arrangement on his cell phone so he can use it in his own home without roaming charges ...

That I did do. But the rain only came during the first 15 minutes of my drive (after I headed out) and ended in transit. I did take carry it to the restaurant where my dining and shopping companion (my youngest daughter) "supped" for nourishment before the buying began.
BTW, "your temp" exceeded "mine" today (at high of 72F). And the sun only showed itself this very hour (7 - 8PM o'clock EST) as it lowers while the clouds break.
Just the sort of day to spend under cover of the shops...hope
you got what you wanted yesterday Cuz.

I was mistaken about the temp yesterday, no wonder I felt rather
warm sitting out in it, apparently it reached 85 and today could
reach the 90's. I pity all at Wimbledon particularly the
players. Fingers crossed for Andy Murray, it would be the
first time a Brit has won in 77 years I believe, can't see it
happening myself taking into account his opponent who I consider
the far better player.
Remember the days when there was a bit of humour flying around the Court..that's all gone these days, pity really.

I get the same and mine is under three years old. Even worse
I can't access my main PC at all since the Tech Guy helped me
'put right' my laptop since I had additional charges to my bill
he told me somebody else was using my wifi...well that has been
remedied only thing is, I can't use it myself either!
Not yet nine a.m and it is hot. Going to sit out with a cup of

Ever had a Chow? I had a Chow, a red one. He was gorgeous.
Unfortunately his breed do just the opposite of what you
instruct them. Apparently it is a trait of their breed so I could handle that.

Good Morning Sir Tally, Grace, Quincy...All here,

How are you this morning or is it too early to tell?

Been sitting outside reading the Sunday newspaper,
it's hot, it's really hot out there. Taking a pot
of tea and toast and Chivers marmalade out, mustn't
keep his Lordship waiting!

Just reading in the paper M&S are introducing a new
range of wine for the birth of the Roayl baby...one
bottle will have a blue 'bib' and the other a 'pink
one. Yuk.

Thank you, Tally. It would only restore back to June 27th and the problem has been on going for months. I tried to click on this thread and got the OOOOOPSIE again. My computer will be 9 years old in Nov so there is not much sense in investing in this one again. I appreciate your help.
