For Tally and LIM,

I know it's everyone's right to post here
as and when they desire,
but could I make a suggestion,

Tally, all this argument the past days
cannot be good for your present state of health,
raising your blood pressure and niggling you..
and every time LIM posts to you-
and you reply .. it enables vicious
circle to just continues..
be wise and...

PUT YOUR HEALTH FIRST.

You are a fine poster and have a lot to
contribute in the normal course of events.

and LIM...

You are an intelligent poster,
and could be a valuable contributor here,
on a variety of subjects;

why not cut Tally a break, he's having
some serious health issues these times.

This is meant in the best possible way

and >

My peace to both of you gents..

El,
You would have smiled yesterday eve if you saw me
[altho' looking back it wasn't funny]

I usually bring ALI to the dog run,
I have to drive there, it is a fenced off area
for dogs only, I know a lotta people [and dogs]
there now.. and their doting owners lol
and we compare notes, ALI is like an angel there
NEVER causes a dot of trouble, even allows a man
to take a ball right out of the mouth..

but going back to yesterday,
I simply hadn't the energy
[with this heat] to bring her there,
so took her to the big field near my home instead,
let her free, for a time she played with another
dog, and when they left, she saw a man walking by himself, minding his own business, she raced toward him
swift as a tiger and barked viciously at him..
I rushed over, best I could,
but with my condition, if ever I rush,
[with my condition]
I become completely breathless..
and I mean *completely*

He railed at me and asked why the dog was
off the leash .. I couldn't talk...

as I simply had *zero* breath... he thought I was being
awkward...

if only he knew HOW concerned I really was..

it ended better than I thought,
I just dragged Ali away
he went away muttering
curse words!

there's NO doubt dogs 'think' very differently
than humans do..

Ali sees a man with a dog [as per in the dog run]

as a completely different species than a man walking alone...

I WON'T try that one again!

'Morning Grace.

I'm glad to hear that the incident went off without serious
consequence...

It was warm here yesterday, today, although the newspapers say
we are to have the hottest Summer for seven years, it is really
cool, in fact I am freezing! Hopefully the sun will burn through this mist! Ah, the joys of living near the mountains, lol.

I notice you speak with what is on your mind Grace, so I feel I
can talk in the same vein. Would you mind explaining why your
dog does not come back to you on command at this stage of her
life? I would seriously work to that goal if I were you, I
would not take too kindly myself to someone's dog charging at
me in a threatening manner. Who knows, that fellow may possibly
have had a heart condition himself.

That was my point El,
I thought she'd behave differently in the field,
As I hadn't her there for ages,
She is perfect in the dog run, and comes
Obediently when called, in fact sits at the gate
waiting! She seem to apply other rules for other
Places! One never understands how they see things.
And of course, it goes without saying,
No one would be happy to see a big dog racing
Towards them, I saw the dangers,
And it is why I said I won't be trying her in the
field again.
Funny about you being freezing, although
mornings can be nippy,
It's sweltering here and a promise of similar
for the next week!
Ok by me-
Bring it on(:

Happeeeeeeeeeeeeee Saturday to most of you . I wanted to chime in and wish a good day, leaving for work in 30 minutes. Yesterday, I made up my hours for being off work Thursday and it was a great, great, productive day. The heat is going to kill the majority of us and I am hoping for snow. Shall be back on here sometime later, going to lunch after work with a few co workers.

Good morning El and Grace and all my friends
When you talk about it being hot I smile. The heat doesn't bother me much. My wife doesn't understand how I can enjoy sitting out on the patio when it is 100. I turn on the mister and enjoy reading in my reclining lawn chair :)

It doesn't need me to tell you Grace, those Labrador/Collie
cross dogs are smart..smarter than the average dog, which is
why you must ensure she comes back in any given situation.
I too, only meant to help, afraid one day that harm will befall
if she isn't made to come back when you command her to.
Oh well, am sure you have it all in hand, would hate to think of
you being in any kind of bother 'cos of it.

The very same to you Vee. Lunch here was a quick sarni on
the go, am painting the inside of the new shed today,
correction, have painted the inside, that's me jiggered
for the day!
How hot is it there? Must be about 75 here by now, just nice.

'Morning Denny....
has warmed up here and is a pleasant 75'ish. I can stand sitting
in the sun with that, it could be hotter as my painting was dry
as I was applying it.
My hottest ever Summer was in NJ....a neighbour 'plied' me
with Manhattan's sitting by the pool...she couldn't believe
it when I got up and walked completely steadily back home.
That was my introduction to NJ. I noticed her making mine
stronger as well....never miss a trick!

yo franko!

that could be part of it ... and ensuring that the system was abused for the solidification of the power and comfort of the Muslim Brotherhood faction.

But, the current unrest is the dis-satisfaction of the other segments of the Egyptian populace and political activists in being steam-rolled by Morsi, the Islamist-stacked parliament, and the constitution they developed; asserting that their voice in resolving various domestics issues was not being heard.

Selective events in timeline outlined here:

http://www.bostonglobe.com/news/world/2013/07...

Nov. 28, 2011-Feb 15, 2012 — Egypt holds multistage, weekslong parliamentary elections. In the lawmaking lower house, the Muslim Brotherhood wins nearly half the seats, and ultraconservative Salafis take another quarter. The remainder goes to liberal, independent and secular politicians. In the largely powerless upper house, Islamists take nearly 90 percent of the seats.

Nov. 19 — Members of liberal parties and representatives of Egypt’s churches withdraw from the 100-member assembly writing the constitution, protesting attempts by Islamists to impose their will.

Nov. 22 — Morsi unilaterally decrees greater powers for himself, giving his decisions immunity from judicial review and barring the courts from dissolving the constituent assembly and the upper house of parliament. The move sparks days of protests.

Nov. 30 —Islamists in the constituent assembly rush to complete the draft of the constitution. Morsi sets a Dec. 15 date for a referendum.

Dec. 15, Dec. 22 — In the two-round referendum, Egyptians approve the constitution, with 63.8 percent voting in favor. Turnout is low.[while the Muslim Brotherhood turned out in sufficient numbers for the very 'favorable' vote]

and for brevity, I omitted physical attacks of Coptic Christians and secular activists and protesters by Islamists zealots.

It's deeper than corruption and graft.
