Tally I just hate the constitution being ignored. We have always had different degrees of violation. During WW2 our mail was opened. It is just that the super computers allow so much more invasion. People are shocked by how easy it is. I used to take down license numbers of people who are looking at new homes. I had a program that gave me their name and address and I would mail them a letter with my card. You could always do that but it meant a trip to search public records by hand. Now it is all so easy to search public records

Grace I thought I was back in Vietnam. I had an accident with a box knife and I cut through my nail. It didn't hurt but if I had snagged it on something it would have tore my nail off. I went to get a plastic nail put on it and the manicurist didn't speak Englis. I finally saw a plastic nail and laid it over my torn nail and put 1 finger in the air and she finally figured out what I wanted. She did a great job and charged me $2 :)

Bray Town HallóBray, County Wicklow, Ireland
Bray Town Hall, built in the Tudor Revival style, was commissioned by Reginald Brabazon in 1841. The Town Hall served as the council meeting center of the small village of Bray. A wyvern, the mythological dragon featured on the Brabazon coat of arms, crowns the outside drinking fountain and is a protector for the town and its hall. But even with such a fierce guardian, Ronald could not be kept at bay.
Shameful indeed!

but....it's all the same to me

When this was brought to my attention
a few years ago, I NEVER again darkened.... nor
will I
EVER again.... darken their door..

As you say, Ronald seems to have a way
of getting in wherever he wants.

Are we ready to celebrate Independence Day
tomorrow...getting the Kitchen prepared..
been busy draping the Stars and Stripes all
around the place...and in honour of Denny
and Flower we have hung a Lone Star flag over
one window...

My contribution..Key Lime Pie..

Tony and Sir Tally....you are both inspirations
God forbid anybody else should need such treatment,
if we do, we can look back at how you guys have
faced up to it, with humour and strength. Best of
wishes to you both.

Grace...glad everything is under control with the heart...and thanks for your concern over my bump,
absolutely no problem there, rather mentioned it to show what happens when you are careless (me)!

Trish....you are so welcome,

catch up with y'all tomorrow.

Two hours away from July 4th this side of the pond.

My father was a very bad & violent alcoholic. We were celebrating by family 2 houses away from where we lived. He gave me a defective flare which poured exploded in my left hand. My birthday is the 26th and I was 2 years old going on 3.

Took well over a year to heal and I am just grateful I have always had full use of my hand.

I understand that you disagree with me and or Denny. That's what makes life interesting. I don't offend easily easily and in fact could give a hoot about racial comments Paula Deen made. Get over it.

Where you grossly offended me and insulted me was a conversation wherein you thoroughly insulted my intelligence and experience. Call me what you will but do not "F" with my professional integrity or intelligence. That was my problem, not whether you agreed with me.

Than with all due respect I think you can be a narcissistic pompous arse. I know more than a few things about the law myself and you will not insult my wealth of knowledge and experience. You may think you more everyone else about the legal field but you are mistaken.

Morning all, the kitchen seems to be draped with strange flags and buntings - could it be that certain colonial chappies are celebrating something? Have a great day over the pond and I will resist any comments along the lines that we should be celebrating the departure!!

I'm spending 7 hours in hospital today for blood transfusions, so have had to arrange for my US visitors to meet me in a pub afterwards - what a bummer!!

On this we seem to be on the same page.

They just caught two people locally (in canada) who were planning to use bombs in the legislature building of our province. They had 3 bombs using pressure cookers guess what?? Same devices as the Boston Marathon bombings ....

Obviously they were caught thanks to the sort of evesdropping that so many people are against ...

it is a new world with new technology and the rules have to change with it ... otherwise the bad guys gain the advantage.

The average person would not have caught them .. only properly trained police.agants could.

Guess what? They were whites who were converted to islam ...

I think it's crazy. Someone needs to have some balls and a backbone instead of kowtowing to poltics.
right now I am worried about the situation in Egypt.

'Morning Tony...could have been worse, they could have lost, lol.
Quite a day you have ahead, I think the prospect of meeting those
friends would keep me going throughout, bear with it, although
said before, you are getting there. Did you catch Andy yesterday?
Brilliant come back, and well played his opponent it has to be said.

It is necessary Franko, sadly, in this day and age particularly,
there have been many attempts to repeat bombings here which have
been foiled and no doubt thanks to a specialised group being
given freedom to 'eavesdrop'.
Much as we are thankful for the bravery of a man like Snowden
putting us in the picture, which, basically, is our right to know, and we should have been informed thus removing the need for a
'whistleblower'. As it is, anybody with any compassion at all,
would have to have some pity for a young man being hounded in the way that he is.

Perhaps not so much out of fear..but rather, we know which
side of our bread is buttered.

Personally I believe our little nation was the stronger when
it came to 9/11...to give Blair his due. Be it a good thing
or a bad thing, he was the one in charge of the situation.
