Thanks ER - have to try to get the PEG line sorted today - it's not right (won't go into gory details), but otherwise all is well for my Hannibal Lector 6 weeks (call it that as they have fitted a face mask that makes it impossible to blink, let alone move whilst having the radiotherapy)!
What a match on Saturday - nailbiting or what. Agree with K - standard of refereeing was much better: should be a great game in Sydney next week. Strange being in a bar at 1105 in the morning - I won't have Sky in the house.
Have really got into Wimbledon this week - normally with working Glastonbury and sailing, I never get a chance to see it. There are many new names since last I watched (anyone mentioning Rod Laver will get an instant ban from the kitchen!) and the men's game has changed so much from the serve/volley I remember from years ago.
Sending rain your way I fear - or that's what the Met boys say. Supposed to clear up for the weekend - hope so, have friends from Missouri visiting for 4 days as of Thursday. Haven't seen them in 15 years, so it will be a real treat to show them some of this glorious county.
Some good always comes out of the bad then, meaning you got the chance to watch Wimbledon. Have really 'taken' to Laura Robson,
she is going to go far I am sure. I have been combing the internet
this a.m. to find an article written by Patrick Collins in the M.O.S..speaking so highly of Rafael Nadal's acceptance of loss
and how he displayed a 'stunning exhibition of class and style'
ending 'I haven't the remotist idea which player will win the men's title. But I know bwyond doubt that this year's Wimbledon
will not have one but two thoroughbred champions'.
Referring to Rafa's good sportsmanship at losing...I love Patrick Collins articles, it's sheer poetry.
Not rain again....you promised a fine week last week,I don't know whether I can trust your forecasts any more, lol.
Hoping everything falls into place today Tony, in order to
proceed with the treatment.
It's looking quite ominous outside, no worries, got the roof on
finishing off last side. T & G.

HELLO there Chick...let's have one together shall we, before
the day begins this end anyway, are you having a quiet night
hope so, although it seems endless when too quiet don't ya think?
Everybody has been fed and watered here, and I am doing a bit
of manual labour, lol, helping build a shed. I slept like a
baby last night and didn't move until 6.30 when I got up and came down, thinking it was 7.30..duh. So an early start today.
If I don't see you before, don't forget to pop in for Key Lime
Pie on Thursday...it will be the first time I have made it, so fingers crossed.

Good Morning Everyone,

shocking news coming out of Arizona, going
to be a lot of families grieving there,
a whole crew killed whilst fighting the fires,
really tragic and our hearts will go out to the
families.

Wishing all our friends here a very good day.

Good Morning, folks.

Agreed re the new from Arizona, Wow!

My task this day is... to find decent
lodgings for one lab/collie dog.. Ali.

I will be going to France later in July,
to where my son lives, and needs must I have to
farm out Ali,
who stays with friends I know.. usually,
but in high peak summer, everyone's away.

I left her a few months back, they were boasting a cheaper rate and good care,

but ..

the latter was dubious!

.... I sensed the dog 'paid' for it
in kind..
WONT go back there, dogs may not be able to tell verbally,
but they can communicate feelings in other ways.

I'd prefer to pay over the odds and have her comfortable.

Well folks

JULY 1 !!
hope it's a good 'un for all here.

"
I can’t believe it’s already you >> 'July'!!

Half the year has now passed me by.

A moment ago it was New Year’s Day

With fresh resolutions to pave my way.

***

My chagrin is rescued by wondrous July

As gorgeous fireworks light the sky.

This freedom that I assume is owed

Was purchased by many a bloody road.

Though air is sultry and mosquitoes bold,

I prefer you, July, to the winter’s cold."

Be well & enjoy Tony!!

Been thinking of you since I heard the Nina has been missing. Haven't heard if they located it along with its American and Britain passengers. Otherwise perfect weather to be hitting the open sea!
