<quoted text>Hi Krypteia, I hope if you and Tony get to fishing out on the pond that you two will be very successful. Last time I went fishing (years ago), I was not successful in the normal way, but my hook snagged into a fish that I guess was sleeping at the lake bottom. This was the biggest fish I ever caught.
Hi CA - very sorry to hear about Skipper. I believe you two were close.

Fishing? I may have put worms on hooks 35 years ago, now ? Never! I'm a girly girl!:-)

<quoted text>Good morning El. The morning temps are lovely. About 72 with a light breeze. It heats up later but you do get used to it. My wife doesn't understand how I can sit out here on the patio and enjoy the heat. With the patio fan on it isn't bad at all
Does it mist too?

I agree Grace - both very well done movies. I'm a Clint Eastwood fan anyway and often catch Pale Rider and other movies of his when I come across them. I was surprised how well I liked Grand Torino since it did not initially interest me.
Enjoy your weekend. I'm mending an injured foot -- good excuse to avoid heavy housework !:-)
And *most* enjoyable..

'A Perfect Murder'
was as good a thriller that I saw
in a long time -

I've a cousin who looks the dead image of
CLINT ESTWOOD, told him he ought to apply
for understudy lol..

He says the money would be attractive alright,
but he's too old now (:

like Clint, he was QUITE the looker
in his day.

El, Grace, and followers, Happeeeeeeee SINday. I sent you, El, a few e mails, hopefully you can open them, Grace, I gave up on your e mail ever working again. ha ha ha ha. Working four hours today, it is 81 today. Hard to fanthom what is going on in Death Valley and parts of nevada with 125 degree temperatures. Funny, people are congregating outside when they show pics instead of inside with the AC. It goes from one extreme to the other, terribly cold and then scorching. UGGGG.

Did he age as gracefully as ol' Clint? Clint and Robert Redford have aged pretty well -- no plastic surgery for them --- and I've always had a thing for Sean Connery ..... it seems plastic surgery would be beneath him !:-)

Chivers Olde English is 'on offer' this week, so I got in
a little stock of it. Just finished breakfast, so am off out into
the wind and rain, lol.(playing for sympathy now)...:)
Just doing a couple of hours in all honesty, and it should clear up later, may go down to the beach for a breath of air. Have a great day..
I re-discovered a honey/butter and also a cinn/butter on toast , raisin toast...

feel a ton better, outlook has improve .. cosmetically still very ugly but at least the bruising is starting to look like bruising not so deep and solid

still worried about Capt. Tony praying

EL,

'Chivers Olde English marmalade'..Yuum!

'That'll do me'!

as Billy Connolly says,
when he really likes something(: lol

Any of you remember waaay in the past (:

when jams/marmalade used to come in
attractive earthenware pots,

pity they were phased out.

Sit down El, watch a good movie,
you deserve a rest, you had a busy week.

Hope all friends here are having a pleasant eve.

'Evening Grace, love that man!
Well, I did just that, rare I get to see one these days,
but really fancied this one on account of the actors more
than the subject....it was 'PHIL SPECTRE'...the acting
was superb, Al Pacino playing Phil and Helen Mirren his
attorney. I didn't know the outcome and am so incredibly
sorry to learn that Phil was jailed.

On another note, some good news on the petition front,
and that is, some success in that India is banning
testing cosmetics on laboratory animals. Now a new
petition is up and running requesting that India ban
imports of cosmetics in which animals have been tested.

Got those links Vee..and thanks. Some opened but many would
not. Something to do with my firewall I believe.
I saw that, where kids were playing on swing parks in the
searing heat, under supervision that they were advised to
cool down periodically....I think I would be indoors with
the air conditioning full on. Roasting hot the other day
had the a/c on in the car the sun was so hot, today, am
perished! Of course it is Wimbledon isn't it? Typical.

Thanks ER - have to try to get the PEG line sorted today - it's not right (won't go into gory details), but otherwise all is well for my Hannibal Lector 6 weeks (call it that as they have fitted a face mask that makes it impossible to blink, let alone move whilst having the radiotherapy)!

What a match on Saturday - nailbiting or what. Agree with K - standard of refereeing was much better: should be a great game in Sydney next week. Strange being in a bar at 1105 in the morning - I won't have Sky in the house.

Have really got into Wimbledon this week - normally with working Glastonbury and sailing, I never get a chance to see it. There are many new names since last I watched (anyone mentioning Rod Laver will get an instant ban from the kitchen!) and the men's game has changed so much from the serve/volley I remember from years ago.

Sending rain your way I fear - or that's what the Met boys say. Supposed to clear up for the weekend - hope so, have friends from Missouri visiting for 4 days as of Thursday. Haven't seen them in 15 years, so it will be a real treat to show them some of this glorious county.

Some good always comes out of the bad then, meaning you got the chance to watch Wimbledon. Have really 'taken' to Laura Robson,
she is going to go far I am sure. I have been combing the internet
this a.m. to find an article written by Patrick Collins in the M.O.S..speaking so highly of Rafael Nadal's acceptance of loss
and how he displayed a 'stunning exhibition of class and style'
ending 'I haven't the remotist idea which player will win the men's title. But I know bwyond doubt that this year's Wimbledon
will not have one but two thoroughbred champions'.
Referring to Rafa's good sportsmanship at losing...I love Patrick Collins articles, it's sheer poetry.
Not rain again....you promised a fine week last week,I don't know whether I can trust your forecasts any more, lol.
Hoping everything falls into place today Tony, in order to
proceed with the treatment.
It's looking quite ominous outside, no worries, got the roof on
finishing off last side. T & G.
