Good Morning (or is it in your neighborhood) Ms El and Friends.
Hope you are all well.
Myself, I'm in a bit (quite a bit) of anxiety concerning a move I'm in the process of that I hadn't necessarily been prepared for.
I'm one that has moved much in my lifetime. When I moved into this beautiful apartment a year and a half ago, I joked and told others I was staying until I was 67. Funny when we make plans knowing full well ...
Have a manic free Monday, if that's what you prefer.
;~)
Good Afternoon Trish..
Very well here and thanks for asking.
The best laid plans of Mice and Men....comes to mind. You know it
will work out just fine don't ya?! It's a lot of upheavel and
especially when you are so settled, but on the plus side, you have moved before and will know to take it one step at a time...go with the flow.
I wish you well Trish, and hope you soon settle in your new place and find good people around you.
Sending good vibes for a smooth journey ahead.

Be safe. Someone's pissed off Mother Nature big time and she's really been showing he wrath these last couple of years.
I believe it is a further sign of global warming .... the atmosphere is more volatile and will continue to get more so as long as it gets warmer.

When my friend retired back to Canada, she found an apartment in Ottawa by the river. Never mentioned the name but you may know which. Water is beautiful to live by but really dangerous.
I believe the river is called the Ottawa river ... I have visited that city twice, everyone walks across the river into QUebec, into a town called HULL, for the nightlife. I don't think Ottawa is known to have flooding problems, but in truth it can happen almost anywhere if there is a sudden surge of extra water in a short time.

I believe Animal Farm, 1984, and Lord of the Flies were on the banned list. They were nonetheless on my reading lists in school just like you.
Interesting, I graduated high school in 1984. We are closer in age than first thought.
LORD OF THE FLIES was banned too??? Interesting.

No way, had already set a plate out for you...:)

Normally I would be making salads at this time of the
year, but the weather has been reminiscent of Autumn
lately, even the 'weather man' said as much.

Oh that is sad. I am so sorry.

Thank you Trish for letting us know, in my case
could possibly have been unaware, as I don't get
around as I should.

Rest In Peace our offbeat friend, Skipper.

Smart Gorilla in Dallas Zoo!

One of my pet hates is kids being allowed to
taunt animals at Zoos.

I know there are those would say their pet hates
are Zoos per se....but...many do excellent preservation work and the animals are much safer
there.
I say let the little bastard get mauled by the gorilla or the lion. Serves em right.

A few years ago there was a lady who went off the path to see the gray wolves up close and personal.....it bit her arm.....I think they killed the wolf. Should have killed the lady as she had no business doing what she was doing

http://www.majorwager.com/forums/canteen/1315...

as someone commented the police should have shot the woman and the zoo should have pressed charges!

I totally agree and what's even more interesting is the uptick in upper respiratory and skin irritations in pets - at least down here - and more folks with seasonal allergies.

Oh my god no! No! I didn't read your attachment. Tell me that's not true, not Skipper! I know he had lots of health problems but he was supposed to be around forever. Crazy to some to get attached to someone I don't actually know but he's the nicest I've ever met.
